Positive Comments: What’s that coming towards you, as if looking towards a storm coming in, or maybe it’s a dream? The lovely, haunting melody is the first thing that captured my attention…the light keys and faint strings, like the voices of sirens calling. Then low rumble of keyboards! It stirs up something emotional, and that’s what melodies like this are meant to do! If I was producing a movie that needed an emotional background, this is what I would listen for.

Constructive Comments: You have a lovely, haunting melody so you really have something to work with, so high scores all around! Now, a few personal ideas perhaps to experiment with…I would start the melody at :15 instead of waiting for it. How about a smoother transition at 1:03 and 2:29? It begins faint and hauntingly beautiful. It feels like it could continue to build up gradually to full orchestration with a heavy piano after the nice break after 1:46. It seems unfinished but seems like there could be a possibility of brilliance towards the end, then back to the faint intro for about 15 seconds.

Positive Comments: Hi. Nice strong intro. Good chords. I like the low strings mixed with high and percussian. This mixture is interesting. Its ending is like the first movement of something. Would like to hear the continuation of it. Great what there is though, and can stand alone as an introduction.

Constructive Comments: Great sound but could be longer and developed more. I like the variety it sounds out. Everyone is in on the roll. Great piece!

Positive Comments: I’m assuming this track is meant to be ironic, commenting on how the perfect woman is thought to be a perfect “cookie cutter”, barbie-type image. If so, I love the crassness of the lyrics, the references to wanting a “loose” girl, and the rah rahs of the perfect cheerleader type. Going to have to check out some more of your stuff!

Constructive Comments: The quality is not great, sounds like a lot, or all, of the instrumentation was not live. Would love to hear what it sounds like with a live band.

Positive Comments: Piano sets nice stage — Skillful synth figures — Tasty drum underpinning — Dig the McCoy Tyner like dissonances that appear at 1:58 — Appealing melodic flurries throughout — Well mixed.

Constructive Comments: Piece has an extemporaneous quality — Perhaps on way to a stronger overall recognizable form/structure? — I definitely enjoyed this in any case and can relate to this artist’s sensibilities.
