Song: What a nice surprice

Reviewer: Scott Tingley

Positive Comments: This is an excellent instrumental. I really like the clean and complex arrangement coming from the guitars and keyboards as they create a very fine and memorable melody. This tune reminds me of something in the genre of a Blues and Jazz type fusion that someone like George Benson would perform. I look forward to listening to more of your music.. outstanding!

Constructive Comments: I’m not sure I can think of anything to say about this song that would make it any better. Perhaps instead of a fade out, you could arrange an exit with the lead guitar taking it out with a bang. Either way, it is awesome as is. Best of luck to you.

Positive Comments: I love the violin intro and also love a piano keyboard, the orchestration is entirely fitting to the song. I am a big softie. A wonderful anthem for women and absolutely to my taste. It deserves radio plays I actually can’t fault it. I like the children’s voices it provides suitable contrast. The singers voice is also excellent.

Constructive Comments: Some may find this a bit sickly sweet it is a bit over the top, but I like that. Many people feel that women are unappreciated this song tries to redress the balance. We all have people in our family or elsewhere that we really admire. That of course is this message. Given the harshness of some music I think that there is room for this song.

Positive Comments: The singer has a lovely voice and sings the lyrics clearly so that you can hear every word. My favourite part of the song was the bridge, I am not sure why the previous put your faith in me included a meteorite1 The accompaniment supported the song and the singer, but did not excite me. I think like all songs of part unrequited love relates to many people.

Constructive Comments: I assume the song is mastered, otherwise I would use the words of the bridge more widely and a little less of the chorus. This singer has very good prospects his voice is very pleasing and competes well with many others. To be radical you could put in a short sharp rap section and make the song more inclusive. Well done.

Positive Comments: Lovin’ this. Parts moving extremely well in relation to one another rhythmically, percussively, harmonically. Great clarity overall. No toes stepped on here. Apparently a considered composition, but with an extemporaneous feel. Great groove. Great variation. No dull moments here.

Constructive Comments: I dunno… Maybe more of this? 🙂

Positive Comments: Laid back, hip, square in the best sense of the word. This artist definitely knows his stuff. Instrumentation solidly in service of the lyrics and melody. Tasteful guitar licks not overdone, perfectly placed. Vocal effective. Sorry to say: yup, this guy’s doomed to be square. (tee he…) Excellent work.

Constructive Comments: Suggestions? Um…………. Simply accept being square. It ain’t so bad. 🙂

Positive Comments: This is the anthem for the rest of us. Give it more emphasis…THE ANTHEM. Not loud enough? Well, allow this song to take over! The pumping rhythmic guitar is a hook that will grab you like nobody’s business from the start. The excellent melody puts the anger and emotion into the assertive lyrics. That’s right, we’re taking no more abuse from bullies and we know what they’re all about! The echoes of “You’re a bully!” compliments the pumping guitar with the same kind of hook and ties the song together all the way through. I don’t think I’ve heard this kind of story told in a hard rock song and that’s unique…and a triumph, and that’s what anthems are supposed to do!

Constructive Comments: This is well done. I can’t think of anything else to say.

Song: Just One More Day (piano/vocal ballad)

Positive Comments: No, this is not Phil Collins making a sequel to begging for just one more night. Get rid of the notion, come on now and listen. This story is told differently and told very well! The tune is lilting and lovely, and it builds up to the plea for the patience to find the truth so that love can return. Lyrically, it is psychologically deep yet told simply, short and sweet. I like the piano composition. Nothing else could compliment the melody so well as it puts emphasis on the emotion. One thing I know about this songwriter…he knows how to craft a terrific melody that reveals what words can’t say by themselves.

Constructive Comments: My own quirk, my friend, but I’d love to hear softer vocals that could still bring out the desperate feeling towards the end of the song. The vocals on there now seem (as my own tastes go) too sharp. But that may be just what it really needs to bring the song out and I’m all wet!
