Positive Comments: I love the vocalist right out of the box… a little Amy Winehouse vibey. The vocal effects are about right for the style, loving the short delay. Instrumentation is right and recording atmosphere sets the stage perfectly.
Constructive Comments: Mix is fairly out of balance. I suggest to start your mixing with the drums and bass… then blend in the guitar. Once the band in balanced then set the vocal in and add the nice effects. There’s a little distortion on the vocal not sure it this is an effect or even intentional… for me, this little distortion gives it a bit of old recording sound. Some of the production issues brought the score down because I really like the singer and the song. Really try to balance the band sound then blend in the vocal, vocal not too much on top. In this mix… the drums are completely buried, not even a factor. I think that your music can be even more impactful than it already is, with a better, more solid rhythm section (mainly drums) mix.
