Positive Comments: I like the overall feel of the song but I wanted it to tell me the backstory in more details. I wanted more of a musical hook to go with the lyrics. The music and guitar playing were nice but need to contrast the verses from the chorus.

Constructive Comments: In V1 set up the characters, context and setting in a more detailed picture story way. Use the chorus to develop your bid idea and V2 to continue the big Idea details. Great job and Great start to a very good song.

Positive Comments: Phew…rarely do I rate so highly here! Absolutely amazing work. This easily could get radio time, and be used in top productions. Feels like just as much care went into production and arrangement, mixing/mastering as writing. (Often overlooked) Elements of many different genres. Drum and Bass, pop, edm, trance. Just brilliant. A catchy hook, generalized emotional vibe anybody could relate to.

Constructive Comments: For this to be a full-blown five stars, and on the level of a top40 artist, I feel some additional underscore could be added, perhaps a guitar, or piano. It has a light airy vibe, which is quite pleasant but feels like the same song twice. My song skull Trap does this, and I feel it works as it’s meant for advertising, but, this, with the lyrics, there’s something missing, some additional emotion to make it a “hit” that “it factor” and I feel a second bigger section, perhaps even just new lyrics could do that. Still, rarely do I rate so high, it’s absolutely amazing. Keep it up.

Positive Comments: Starting with a nice saxophone intro that reminds me of Tears For Fears’ “I Believe,” it moves into a pitter-patter beat that is really appealing with a mix of saxophone and midi instrumentations. The melody is serene and the performance engaging. I could drive leisurely up the coast and listen to this, or sit back and get lost in the tune.

Constructive Comments: The melody works well and that is the essential base, and everything else is personal preference and interpretation, so all that I have to perhaps experiment with would be going into the main melody of the song at 21 seconds instead of at about 36 just to decrease the waiting time for the main body of the melody to begin. If it works, well, maybe that’s the edit for a single release!

Positive Comments: Wonderful use of sfx to bring transitions together. Often I find people add just one new thing every four bars or so, and you don’t have to be so limited! There’s so much texture here. Does it feel like an instrumental remix? I am wanting vocals, but, what’s here is very pleasant. The tropical vibe from the percussion and punchy style of that lead is brilliant! Good work!

Constructive Comments: It feels a bit repetitive to me, but, the B I G chorus helps make up for that. Again, I feel it would greatly benefit from vocals, and perhaps this is just an instrumental cut. Only 3mins long…well structured– this is why you do not need 5mins to make a full track. Bravo!

Positive Comments: Lovely intro. The melody is beautiful and the jazzy chords really work well. Nice lead vocal and the backing vocal harmonies are outstanding.. Excellent instrumentation. The song has a great dreamy, summer sound. I can imagine listening to this driving along on a summer day.

Constructive Comments: The song has a retro feel which might limit its marketability, but well worth pitching for appropriate film/TV listings. I love this song and I’m going to add it to my playlist when I find out what it is. Congratulations on this gem of a song.

Positive Comments: Here’s an interesting song about a relationship that ended (by death? Separation? Break-up?…not sure.) Vivid word picture (single toothbrush on the stand) is very effective. Single pillow on the bed, another great word picture. Vocal is right on target and crystal clear. Excellent instrumentation. Melancholy blue – great hook/title.

Constructive Comments: There’s something I don’t quite get about this song. The old couple holding hands – is that what you wish would have happened? Not sure I can put your whole story together in my head. Another thing I don’t get (although the lyric is very original) “smelled like sin.” I guess there are a lot of questions that this song raises…perhaps that is what you intended to do.

Positive Comments: There’s something positive and uplifting about this track that just makes me smile. It’s well thought out and well put together, and did I mention exciting to listen to? There are some dramatic breaks that add an interest to the composition. There’s enough repetition of the hook to make it memorable, but it never becomes boring. Interesting choices of instrumentation. Perfect mix. A pleasure to listen to!

Constructive Comments: The ending needs work. Make the ending conclusive. Such a great track needs a climactic ending.

Positive Comments: Wow! What a great song! Puts me right in your living room and feeling your pain and angst. If ever a song communicated the cry of a troubled heart, this one does. The word pictures are excellent. The story is real and believable. The cry for help is sincere and poignantly communicated. This song is so real and authentic I imagine it would be the heart cry of many a troubled wife/girlfriend. “Help me feel safe” Excellent and simple hook.

Constructive Comments: Obviously a simple home recording, but it does the job. Simple guitar and vocal…I heard some pitch issues there. In my opinion, this is more folk than blues. So…if this song is true (and I think it probably is), how did the relationship/hard times turn out? Or still in process? I want to pray for you! Mrs. Kate

Positive Comments: If you are looking for a high energy, positive sounding jazz guitar piece, this is it. The background music provides a great ambiance for the lead guitar, which is skillfully and excellently played! I love the keys and drums, everything about this great sounding track! The guitarist really has some great chops and licks.

Constructive Comments: I think the song could be shortened a bit. Intro is a bit too long waiting for something to happen. The guitar sound didn’t appeal to me as much. (Just a personal preference). I prefer a more pure, less raspy sound.
