Positive Comments: Vocals are strong. This singer reminds me of Karen Carpenter. Pretty. Pitch is right on.

Constructive Comments: This is a good demo. If you decide to record it with live drums, piano, guitars, etc. it might give it a bit more emotion and drive. Just a suggestion on the vocals: clip them a bit. There’s no need to hold out every ending note. When you do start to clip them, you’ll notice more emotion, more movement, and more energy in the song. I was a bit confused about the lyrics. Is it about an old couple, a young couple? How do you get to the hook line of melancholy blue? I hope you accept this review in the spirit it’s written. Best of luck to you! Cheers!

Positive Comments: There’s some Luther Vandross in there! The instrumentation was pretty. Very good singer.

Constructive Comments: There were some vocal pitch problems. The singer is very capable if given a chance to open up. I think there are some lyrical challenges that cause the singing to be a bit awkward. Take a look at the lyrics to see if you can say the same thing in a more efficient and different way – it’s a bit too conversational. The instrumentation, which is very nice, clean, and sweeping sounds like it’s all mixed straight down the middle. Maybe pan instruments a little to the left and right to give it a more full sound. There’s potential in this song. It just needs to be allowed to breathe a bit. I hope you accept this review in the spirit it’s offered. Best of luck to you! Cheers!

Positive Comments: Intro reminded me of the Pet Shop Boys song “Being Boring”. Like the vibe, updated 80s.

Constructive Comments: Since there aren’t any lyrics, I don’t have any idea for what it might be called. It’s a very clean recording. Without a vocal, it needs a much stronger melody line or it risks getting classified as retail/elevator music. Have you heard of The Groove Project? Check them out, particularly the songs “Sugar Free” and “Home In The Sky”. They’re instrumentals with strong melodies throughout. I hope you receive this review in the spirit it’s offered. Best of luck to you! Cheers!
