Positive Comments: Here’s a really pretty “love lost” song. It’s a stream of consciousness…the guy is trying to figure out how/why he lost the girl and keeps asking questions, which really don’t have an answer. On the other hand, he could be asking, “Why did I lose my voice” (which doesn’t make sense, because he’s still singing.) Favorite lyric and rhyme: “… just what I did? But, that’s all history. It is just what it is.” Clever use of a common phrase in the song. The instrumentation is really smooth in this song. Nice job on the production. There are some beautiful harmonies in this song!

Constructive Comments: Vary the percussion/drum beat. It sounds so canned. Lyrics were … rather predictable. So if you wouldn’t mind letting me know, is the song about losing your voice or your girlfriend?

Positive Comments: You have crafted a terrific melody. The lyrics take the “I can do anything if I could just have the girl” theme and say it in a unique way. Great use of keyboards, all other instrumentation, vocals, studio work, work beautifully. The bridge is a nice break and give extra interest.

Constructive Comments: When I have nothing in the way of constructive comments, I just say relax, sit back and have a beer.

Positive Comments: This is a solid, professional recording, with a good tune and an evocative lyric. lead vocalist has oen of those gruff yet appealing voices, goes really well with this song. Arrangement does some cool things with dynamics. That keeps the interest level up. Overall the work of some really talented people (or person, who knows?).

Constructive Comments: I dinged the lyric a bit. I guess I’m picky. There’s all this fire imagery, but the key line seems to be “it’s a wave of the heart …” Confuses me. But maybe just me! I liked the arrangement except sometimes the synth was a bit heavy and made it sound a bit old-fashioned. A quality track though, no doubt about it.

Positive Comments: Oh three to a bar! Nice. Sweet lead guitar to open. Rock guitar but also a country feel to the chords and melody. Nice blend of genres. That lead guitar dominates the other instruments but not in a bad way. Although I could not pick up every word or line of the lyric, the mood came across and seemed right for the music. Voices are first rate.

Constructive Comments: It’s an interesting track, because for me the best part os the lead guitar. The song itself is kind of so-so to me. And that may be because I could not really follow the lyric, is it about a failing relationship, or a broader complaint? The tune is good enough but never really grabbed me. Not like that lead guitar did at least!

Positive Comments: Okay, you’ve got a single. Come to think of it, a pleasant and catchy single. The tune is original, and yes, a good hook. But it also has the quality of being unique. Think of songs like “Longer,” “America”(Paul Simon) when you hear the song title, the tune is already playing in your head. In fact, you have a somewhat Paul Simon essence in this tune. The tune has a nice lilt and moves lazily up and down like waves. Nothing to add about the instrumentation, vocals, or studio work. They sound terrific!

Constructive Comments: Lyrically fine it doesn’t necessarily say anything in a different way but it doesn’t have to. The tune carries the feeling of it and so it works just fine. It’s not a constructive or critical comment, more just a personal thought so I thought I’d place it here instead. It’s a terrific piece. And about the instrumentation…I’d be thrilled if I could do half as well!

Positive Comments: Excellent album cut. The tune is pleasant and engaging, and I do like songs that have philosophical lyrics that ponder the meaning of life. Instrumentation is perfect and fits the mood of the song. It’s enjoyable and contemplative.

Constructive Comments: If you’re wondering why four stars in a few places, it means that you are so far ahead of the game that I am pickier with you than I would be with others. Your music is, in a word, great. So I’m listening for the incredibly unique hits, and remember, my personal taste may be prejudiced and unfair in some cases and I’m aware of that. I might not hear what others do.

Positive Comments: This was a fun listen. Has some cool 6/8 vs. slow-4 interplay that is executed in a very original way, and full-stop breaks that give it a really neat feel. I could imagine this working well in the right film/TV situation.

Constructive Comments: Performance/arrangement is solid! Only critique of the mix would be that the bass seems a bit quiet.

Positive Comments: WOW this one really kicks in nicely after the chorusy opening chords—Really has excellent instrumentation and super ripping tasty lead guitar…the lyrics and vocalist really deliver this one home. Dig the harmonies. Very nice breakdowns and dynamics. A very Special song and spiritual journey. Love the song and artist.

Constructive Comments: This one is radio and tv and film ready. Nothing else needed here except listeners and promotion. Placement in Film or TV.
