Song: The Clock Burned Down
Reviewer: CW Mullins
Positive Comments: This is a solid, professional recording, with a good tune and an evocative lyric. lead vocalist has oen of those gruff yet appealing voices, goes really well with this song. Arrangement does some cool things with dynamics. That keeps the interest level up. Overall the work of some really talented people (or person, who knows?).
Constructive Comments: I dinged the lyric a bit. I guess I’m picky. There’s all this fire imagery, but the key line seems to be “it’s a wave of the heart …” Confuses me. But maybe just me! I liked the arrangement except sometimes the synth was a bit heavy and made it sound a bit old-fashioned. A quality track though, no doubt about it.
