Song: Monster
Reviewer: Simpson-Mancine Band
Positive Comments: A solid hard rock almost halloween-ish kind of feel. Really good energy, and I love the “cold” ending where it just cuts out. I bet this song would carry really well at a live show!
Constructive Comments: The mix sounds a bit squashed and perhaps overprocessed, especially the reverse/gated snare reverb. With a remix to preserve dynamics and tame the FX a bit, this could sound much stronger.

Song: Alone On Valentines Day Again (Pop-Adult Contemporary, Folk)
Reviewer: Michael Jones
Positive Comments: I believe the vocals are world class and the singer is a serious vocal talent. Almost a Neil Young tone to the vocals. Very smooth and pitch is dead on.
Constructive Comments: The vocals are outstanding but the lyrics need work in my opinion. They need to stay tight and smooth from start to finish. With this song the first 1:00 lyrics are pretty strung but after that some of the lyrics seem forced and it causes the song to meander and get too loose.I recommend listing closely to the syllables in the lyrics and thing then more smoothly to the sound.

Song: Bees In A Jar/Too Much Violence Coreys
Reviewer: Bob Birthisel
Positive Comments: Very interesting piece with equally intriguing instrumentation. I really loved the overall sound and the changes in depth from distant to up-close and personal. Has kind of a 90’s retro sound to it and the chord progression maintained my interest throughout.
Constructive Comments: To be honest the vocal lost me completely – this would have more impact in market value as an instrumental I think, but that’s all personal taste. Just wasn’t for me. The far-back horns also seemed a little out-of-timing to me (20+ years as a pro drummer will do that). I still really enjoyed the “big picture” sound.
