Positive Comments: Being from California, I can’t help but appreciate this introspective song. Philosophical but not too complicated, it’s a “wondering” song that makes the listener think…and long…along with the singer. We all ask questions about life, and sometimes it’s just good to ponder them that seems to be the message of this song. I like the melody a lot and the chorus has a great hook. All this is augmented by a crystal clear vocal, nice harmony, excellent instrumentation and production. Nice job! I’d definitely like to hear more of your work.

Constructive Comments: Shorten the introduction. You’ve got a GREAT voice!

Positive Comments: A sweet, sweet, song with a great tale embedded in it. Great guitar work. Did you record this as you sang and played? I liked the beginning, as you added a second guitar. I loved the pictures you painted with the lyrics, although they seemed to wander a bit….writing a good angel song, is tough, but you did a great job and are on to something.

Constructive Comments: So, I just want to give you some constructive thoughts about how to make this song better. The vocals are a bit pitchy, that is why I asked if you sang and played as you recorded this song. If possible, it always better to split them into different tracks so you can make adjustments later. Using a digital DAW program is it easy to fix sections.I love the simplicity of the song, but was hoping for the song to add a few other instruments to help build it. As the second verse kicks it, it would have been nice to add a simple drum track and bass…and as second chorus kicks in add some strings and maybe a simple vocal choir track and also add some backing vocals…..This is really an inspiring song and deserves some tweeps. Finally, I’ll suggest you go over the lyrics and clean up and simply them, so there is a bit more space between the lines….they seem a bit rushed in a coulee places….Anyway, REALLY nice song and I hope you find my thoughts as something to ponder. I’d make a vocal-guitar track like this one and one that has more instrumentation and embellishments. Thanks for sharing….best of luck.

Dry & Blue / Delta Blues by Uncle Spider & The Electric Dirt Clods

Song: Dry & Blue / Delta Blues

Reviewer: Chet Nichols

Positive Comments: Cool song…..easy-going and serene. Unique chord progressions and nice mixing of sections. Nice recording, well captured and great mix. Thoughtful melody that brings the visions of a lazy day in the sun under a canopy of trees in the shade sipping on some lemonade (hey that rhymes!)YOU are to something here…..see below for some constructive thoughts.

Constructive Comments: I think this song is REALLY deserving of a new recording. Here are some thoughts.1. The song is not Delta Blues, in my humble opinion, more a cross-over blues-folk-jazz fusion piece.2. Be SURE to tune your guitar perfectly before recording. Don’t hit RECORD until it is perfect.3. I am (and this is my personal opinion) more prone to wanting to hear this song recorded without the guitar using its on-board electronics. This is such a beautiful, organic piece, a nicely recorded acoustic version would lift this song to another level.4. You have a couple mistakes in the playing that need to be fixed. If you are recording with a DAW program, it is easy to fix those sections and they need to be fixed, because this song would work in many film and TV opportunities, but the playing has to be perfect. The song is so-o-o-o-o good it deserves a perfect execution.5. This is a real unique song and one that will do you well…it shows your talent and potential. Thanks for sharing….I hope these comments help you.PS Does the song have a version with lyrics? It lends itself to it….

Positive Comments: Really a cute little song for your little girl and others with young children or grandchildren. Nice simple guitar work. The instrumental portion sounded like a recorder, nice feel.

Constructive Comments: I fear there would be limited potential for attracting the masses due to its specific content. I was really hoping it would encompass the growth to a young lady but then you can still call her your little girl. Overall I enjoyed it but it left me wanting more variation. I would like to hear more from you as I’m guessing this writing may not be typical of all your music.

Positive Comments: I love it, it’s different, catchy, the beat kept me guessing. the switch ups were nice, very unique style. reminds me of a pop like feel, but a new pop like feel, the lyrics make me listen to try to get what your talking about, it would definitely make money listen more than once.

Constructive Comments: just clear up the vocals a bit, and don’t let the vocals overtake the beat. level it all out.listen to your work with others to see what they here, that way you have different opinions.

Positive Comments: great song, reminds me of shinedown, I can hear this song on a rock station at the number one spot, kept me listening, love that breakdown, sounds very raw and uncut. you don’t hear much of that anymore. all and all you guys cut a good song.

Constructive Comments: sounds like it needs to be mastered, a little fine tuning with the vocals and make that beat display it’s power without letting it overtake your vocals.doing that would make this song even better than it already is.

Uncle Spider & The Electric Dirt Clods

Broadjam Artist: Uncle Spider & The Electric Dirt Clods
Song: In The Light of Day / Rock Alternative

Reviewer: BoRock

Positive Comments: I liked it, a calm but alarming feel to it, kinda like a Phil Collins lost love type feeling, the piano part was a bit loud but it can always be fixed, perhaps a final mix down is necessary, just to be sure everything is on the correct level. other than that, I like the beat, it broke down which gives your artist a chance to work with it and really tell a story.yes, I can definitely hear a soft yet real, tear provoking song to this beat. keep going.

Constructive Comments: before you finalize your beats, give them one more run through and something that helps is to have you and at least two other artists listen for anything that is off beat or to loud ect… that way you can catch almost every mistake or issue and create a perfect beat.
