The Eyes Of The Lonely / Blues Rock by Uncle Spider & The Electric Dirt Clods

Song: The Eyes Of The Lonely / Blues Rock

Reviewer: Bart

Positive Comments: Does have a down type mood to it.Interesting solo. Slow but effective. Nice job on that.

Constructive Comments: Vocal needs to be louder.Suggest adding another instrument to give the song more fullness since it seems that it has to much empty space.

Positive Comments: Love your creativity and story-telling. Instrumentation plays well with the mood of your story. The slide (or dobro) is a little used technique but it plays well in your tune. The hook is very evident and the story is very easy to follow. Congratulations, nice job.

Constructive Comments: On a whole I think you did a fine job with the tune both lyrically and instrumentally. However I guess I was waiting for or feeling like there might be some sort of strings being added at some point. Certainly not a negative but I thought it might be a plus. I may have reviewed you before since I don’t know who this is, but I will plan to go listen to your other tunes.

Positive Comments: Introspective intro leads into a song that presents more of the same: a journey into the heart of a troubled man. Nice guitar work with a memorable lick. Odyssey/Oddity – nice play on words there. Voices inside some mine/some divine – excellent contrast. This is a very interesting and different song, comes across as really honest. I’d be interested to hear more of your spiritual journey. You did a great job of clearly presenting the tortured soul.

Constructive Comments: frac-tured – that was a bit awkward the way you divided that word vocally.Take my hand, understand – not really originalWhats wrong with me is what’s right with me – That’s kind of a strange statement.I can understand where you are coming from, having been lost myself for several years. Jesus came in and cleared up the confusion for me. You can read my story here if you want to: http://www.mrskate.com/spiritual-journey

Song: Always and Forever

Reviewer: David James

Positive Comments: It’s really catchy. Very strong chorus. The composer obviously understands how to put together a pop song. Nice pre-chorus at 1.20 Great lead vocal. Tight playing. The song is short, which works well for an impact song. Excellent sound quality.

Constructive Comments: Although the lyric is clever, the ‘first tattoo’ idea doesn’t appeal to me personally, but that’s just me. When I heard the intro I was expecting a different kind of song entirely, so for that reason I’ve marked down the arrangement. Having said all that, it is a very commercial song in my estimation, which has hit potential.

Positive Comments: Answer man – what a great hook! The harmonies really augment it! Fantastic rock band instrumentation. I got a kick out of the verses. Asking questions leading up to the chorus works great. I love the clarity of your vocals. Best lyric: Born to be a dancer but my feet get in the way. Lots to smile about here. hard/guard away/astray you’ve got some pretty cool and original rhymes. I’m not a rocker, but I like your song! Tight band fantastic vibe. Keep up the good work. I like the CONSISTENCY of your lyrics (word economy, accents, etc…nicely done!)

Constructive Comments: I love the way your instrumentation doesn’t just fill space…it SPEAKS!I found my ANSWER MAN in Jesus Christ! You’re asking some good questions!
