Positive Comments: Just in time for Halloween, this scary, unsettling track would be great background music to create an atmosphere of uneasiness. The driving message “Pay Your Tribute Lay your bones” sounds like it could have come right out of the mouth of a witch. There are some interesting sound effects inserted (locking noise?) which contribute to the frightfulness of the track. Highly original.

Constructive Comments: Gulp. I think I’ll stay away from your haunted house! I did not really understand the message of your song (unless the review is on target). But I am a 62 year old folkie, so take it with a grain of salt.

Positive Comments: I love patriotic music. Here’s a song honoring the United States Flag. With all the controversy concerning the kneeling NFL players, this song ought to ring true in the hearts of many Americans who respect our flag, our freedoms and all we stand for. “These colors don’t run” might not be your original thought, but the familiarity of the phrase draws the listener in immediately. The lyrics are carefully written, poignant and inspiring. Instrumentation and production are good. Keep up the great work, guys!

Positive Comments: There’s always a niche for a love song with a certain girl’s name in it, and this one’s name is Jeannie. A heartfelt plea for understanding how much he loves her, backed by a nice sounding piano.

Constructive Comments: Vocals need work. I could understand all the lyrics, but the tone needs improvement. Replace the drum loop with something more interesting. Work on freshness/originality in your lyric writing.HEY Randal, it’s me, Mrs. Kate, gotcha pegged!

Positive Comments: Upbeat, fun-to-listen-to rock song is real ear candy. The vocals soar, confidently sung, with some great harmonies in there. Favorite rhymes: attack/back, accept/forget. This band has a lot going for it with a really tight performance, and killer lead guitar. The intro is really fun, too. Nice production, guys!

Constructive Comments: Even though I loved the way your vocals sound, I could not really understand the message of this song. I wrote down snatches of what I could understand: Traditional Message. Livin the dream. She’s the only one. But truth be told, I really didn’t get it! After the review, I’ll see if you posted the lyrics. It could be that I’m a 62 year old folkie, not a rocker. Positive Comments: Piano being a lead instrument is very prevalent in the New Age scene, perhaps because it is a very pure sounding instrument that evokes a lot of emotion. As I say a lot in these reviews, because of the nature of the commercial context, this is a very cinematic piece, denoting a feeling of maybe sadness, or even romance, perhaps both.

Constructive Comments: I love the string arrangement behind the piece, it is thematic without basing itself around a specific refrain. There is definitely a market for this type of emotive and beautiful piece, showcasing real talent from it’s composer. There are definitely echoes of Hans Zimmer in the overall nuance of the sound. This composer should do very well in the film music market.

Positive Comments: This is a very ambient, atmospheric track with a real bass heavy groove. It kind of reminds me of something Tricky does. This track would be excellent for a soundtrack (I know I keep saying that, but film companies are big providers from Broadjam) this denotes a sense of menace or tension, within a science fiction or chiller context, this would go very well.

Constructive Comments: Often tracks like this, like I’ve done myself, are all about the context of the mood. It is not for casual listening, it needs a medium to support it, such as a film or trailer scene, it would work brilliantly as a tool to add meaning or mood to a particular piece of cinematography, but whether it could stand alone, I am not sure.
