Broadjam Artist: A-Team Producers
Song: Child’s Play

Reviewer: Dave Haddad (CenterPeace)

Positive Comments: Very nice sounds, top notch palette. Nice change up in the second half, unexpected rhythm section take over. Love the pizz strings, perfect part. I like the minimalist approach instead of filling every space. Thank you! great little song, well constructed, performed and produced…

Constructive Comments: Opening bell sound was somewhat over powering and unpleasent until the stringed instruments came in. B section (:45) was a surprise jumping into the beat like that… Cool though. Breaking it down I felt some levels were off slightly, cymbals swell was loud. Almost wanted a full band to enter at 1:26. But no 🙂

Positive Comments: I liked this song from it’s first note until it’s last. Lot’s of cool things to hear within the track i.e. the slight tempo changes were a nice touch. The guitar tone and guitar work were done very tasteful and not over played. Nice use of that whammy pedal too. Good work

Constructive Comments: Not much to comment in this section. Good job!!!

Positive Comments: This is a very interesting and dynamic instrumental with plenty of scope for a film or TV season. Great original use of instrumentation and contrast in power with carefully laid out sections. There is an experimental exponent in the sound, which is carefully laid out and shows great arranging and musical skills.

Constructive Comments: I love the dynamic highs and lows in this track which displays tremendously accomplished musicianship skills, with a very interesting intro section. I feel with this rock style music, maybe a stronger hook would have enhanced the sound which could have recapped throughout the piece , not for my ears as I loved it, but as the tracks are designed to be sold, I think that is what a provider would listen for. Having said that, I have had nothing even considered yet, so what would I know!

Positive Comments: The track and lyrics are nice, very well arranged.

Constructive Comments: You are a good writer. Have you ever thought about writing for other artist? It’s a very good song, but we believe that the song would have sound better, if you had some background vocals behind your lead vocals.

Positive Comments: This song has a very Irish / Scottish/ Braveheart-ish feel or vibe to it. It definitely reminded me of the movie Braveheart. A nice song to say the least with excellent instrumentation and the performance as well as the dynamics of the songs were done very nicely. Good work!

Constructive Comments: The arrangement was spot on. I don’t know what the artist is looking to do with this piece of music. I can only speculate that the artists sights are set on placing the song in a feature film that requires this type of music. Hopefully that day will come both for the composer of the track and for the song because it deserves to be soundtrack for the appropriate film or TV Program. Best of luck to you!!

Positive Comments: Now let’s sit back and watch the film to this splendid soundtrack!!

Constructive Comments: Nothing negative to say except for the cymbal crashes(a tad too loud or too high pithed??) .. still well done.
