Positive Comments: Exceptional mix and great use of dynamics. I really enjoyed the lyrics and it’s both well-performed and well-sung. Great job.

Constructive Comments: The only issue is length. Because there’s no “new sound” or bridge it feels long and at 5:33 might turn off some Music Supervisors. But really nice.

Positive Comments: Slick sounding piece. Bass part could do with more listener interest with some mixing up of more riffs – as it is the bass leaves me cold. (I play bass). I assume there’s a vocal version somewhere.

Constructive Comments: Some of the guitar works appears to be competing for dominance in places.

Positive Comments: Wow, love the guitar right away. Nice production 🙂 The vocal delivery is passionate and “broken”, which is very appropriate for this song.

Constructive Comments: Just a small thing (perhaps just a personal preference): the vocal when singing “Where is my home?” seems to peak a little bit. It might be the desired effect, but I’d like to hear it without the peak. The song might benefit from more changes or a bridge or chorus. I always write in 3 pieces (verse, chorus, bridge) so as to create anticipation, but that’s just one style of writing. This works very well as a low-key, tortured, emotional piece. It’s honest and raw 🙂

Positive Comments: It’s a rainy day in the inner city and I’m staying home from school to listen to the Cure 🙂 I had a very emotional, nostalgic reaction, but I honestly don’t feel it’s derivative. It just paints an emotional picture that I understand. The changes keep me interested even without vocals, and I like the fact that it aspires to be low-fi but still has good production values. Great instrumental!

Constructive Comments: It’s a bit linear, but linear instrumentals have a place. I’d love to hear it go in an unexpected direction, but that could be accomplished by including it as part of a larger work.

Positive Comments: This song is very unique and grew on me quickly! It’s not derivative, but I feel Beatles influence (which is only a high compliment!) Very cool harmonies and orchestration. The production is powerful and clean. The vocal performance is emotional and unique. I love that it changes unpredictably while still staying within the confines of a coherent song. Good stuff! Coolest independent thing I’ve heard in awhile.

Constructive Comments: I wish I had some 🙂 I was ready to be critical of the vocal pitch when the song first started, but I’ve listened again twice and it now sounds perfect to me. That’s good…likely means it just defied expectations at first. Honestly, awesome song!

Positive Comments: Great energy and a real depth of sound with plenty of low end. Percussive, smart, and lots of swag. I really enjoyed this, particularly the tones on all the backing instruments. Tons of potential for film or TV.

Constructive Comments: Chord progression was kind of typical, but so well-performed I enjoyed it throughout.
