Song: Line Dance Queen

Reviewer: Hartmut Oberdieck

Positive Comments: Technically well done, the mix is ??good too. The guitars are played very well, it is groovy. The drums are pretty good too.

Constructive Comments: A well-made background for a song (instrumental or with vocals), but it remains a rough draft and is a bit boring as a song. It’s just too much repetition. You won’t be caught forever. Work on it.I makes sense.

Song: It’s Over Now

Reviewer: Mark S. Ludes (MSL)

Positive Comments: Smooth groove…nice instrumentation and good vox / harmonies…. has a easy going feel… let’s ya drift away…enjoy! Liked the echo trail on the vocal…fade!

Constructive Comments: Nice groove…. has a bit of an 80’s feel…with the keys… etc… be nice to break in to a solo with guitar or a sax? Help make it POP a bit more…..

Song: ICU

Reviewer: Mark S. Ludes (MSL)

Positive Comments: Thought it was an instrumental for a bit… solid Bass / drum groove…got a nice funky feel…. got some heavy bottom rolling through…

Constructive Comments: Solid driving Bass is nice, but a bit over-powering in mix…. kind of hides some of the funky gtr licks… maybe mix in those guitars to stand out a bit more… bass and drums sound really solid, but with the rest a bit buried makes them sound too up front… just kick up that gtr and keep the vocals hanging clear and clean – out front…… Rock it!

Song: Let’s Drive Instrumental Minute

Reviewer: Mark S. Ludes (MSL)

Positive Comments: Good driving instrumental…. … solid rockin’ … instruments sound pretty well balanced – and played well… just might think about another break/change for the song to really kick it up!

Constructive Comments: kind of short… left me hanging…waiting for some kind of breakout solo…? Still solid backing but a nice guitar solo or organ would really help keep it alive! Rock on!

Song: they’re coming for you

Reviewer: Antho

Positive Comments: Assume this is a demo, but a great one! It’s calling out to have a Myles Kennedy-ish singer over the top of it. The bit at 0:28 is golden! Love the building melody of the guitar.

Constructive Comments: Since it seems like a demo, I really don’t have much. Arrangement-wise, I would work on it once a singer got his-her hands on it

Song: Spiral

Reviewer: John Walradt

Positive Comments: Hold onto your chair because, as the title says, you’re going to spin around and around! The melody goes down the scale expertly giving the feel of a relationship gone into a wild emotional ride. The heavy metal guitars and vocals play it out like Bon Jovi or Judas Priest with precision. Okay, send this one to the movies or for use on an album.

Constructive Comments: Excellent work.

Song: You Make Everything Alright

Reviewer: John Walradt

Positive Comments: Lots of songs have the “you made my life so much better” message. How about another one? What if a really hooky tune is tossed in? Those bouncy, lovely tunes that Lobo, America, and Firefall used to write? Now you’re talkin’! The melody is the real selling point of this song. The folky guitars have a wonderful rhythmic strum, a sweet orchestration joins in later, and so what if you’ve heard the same kind of lyrics before? You’ll find yourself singing along with that lovely bouncy tune this fine songwriter has put together!

Constructive Comments: Fine job! I’m a melody person and this is a fine tune. I’ve used strings of words that everyone’s used before. I usually try to tell a story and make it more unique but there are times when that’s not the most important thing. A terrific melody can make ordinary words feel unique and I think this one works very well. It’s a terrific song for several placements that Broadjam offers.
