Positive Comments: This is not a radio-friendly song but it could definitely be played in sophisticated restaurants/bars/cafs or in commercials. The lyrics and the instrumental are lovely and graceful.

Constructive Comments: I don’t think this song is radio-friendly enough.

Positive Comments: Great instrumentation and a nice clean recording with plenty of breathing space

Constructive Comments: Im waiting for some sort of solo or burst of emenergy from somewhere – to lift it out of where it is. The melody is perhaps a bit confused with the brass backing stabsanid could be defined more

Positive Comments: The song is catchy and quite original when compared to what is played on the radio at the moment. The singer has a nice voice and the melody compliments her voice well. The lyrics are quite good and make me feel like I’m on a walk in a forest as they are really peaceful. Finally, it reminds me of Taylor Swift.

Constructive Comments: I think the lyrics could be a bit deeper and longer. Perhaps the rhymes could have been ‘richer’? I also think that the chorus could have been catchier, maybe by repeating it twice or by repeating the last line of the chorus four times?

Song: A Minor Prelude

Positive Comments: Great choice of instruments, unexpected maybe. It fits in nicely with the melody which is played as though it was a live rendition with feeling that fits the style. Tempo changes at accented phrases and emphasis is produced naturally be the style it is played in! It is a piece that can stand for what it is without addition of more modern sounds. Its simple but played with feeling. Very good!

Constructive Comments: This piece should stay as is I think, but you can fool around with the sound quality and maybe introduce another fitting instrument like a harmonica, a jaw harp, or simple instruments to accomany. Just a thought that can also be dismissed. Its great already in its simplistic fashion. Great feeling and heartfelt playing!

Song: IF I DIDN’T HAVE YOU!

Positive Comments: The voice is reminiscent of early 1900’s to the 20’s and carries a melody that brisky moves along to go with the words telling its story. The group is evolving and the accordian and drum helps it keep a homemade intimate style. I love the lyrics and the arrangement goes together with an itimate style that could be heard in a bar perhaps, or a restaurant. The echo gives it a feeling of some empty spce and not a confines area. Its a great style and even belongs in the present. Iys good to hear this happening these days. Excellent overall.

Constructive Comments: Well any changes to this would detract from the homestyle impression that is so good. The only improvement to be made would be in the balance of sound but then it wouldnt be sounding as it was intended.the vocal could perhaps be brought out a little more and to bring it uo to more modern standards, the quality with bass, treble and some clarity adjustments and the voice will inspire by its sound quality, and that might be something to think about, but you have a unspoiled sound as it is. Could be live !!

Song: Dark Forest Walk

Reviewer: jim Finan

Positive Comments: I like the haunting beginning and carries on mysteriously.tension rises nicely and the trombone player nearly passes out holding a long note. Nice beginning and introduction. Like the “whistle while You Workt” theme thrown in there. Nice choice of instruments and a great rise in volume.several theme candidates introduced. Nice retarding ending. The mixing of instruments keeps the suspence going.

Constructive Comments: While many musical themes appear, it is as if just setting the stage for something that is going to appear. Perhaps in the next movement the main story gets revealed and all of the previous music is leading to an explanation f4om its mysterious beginning. It could go anywhere….. would like to hear more of it with more dominant theme carried on. Just pick out one and go with it? Would like to hear this carried on a bit more. You’ve got a winner going on awaiting. Great start and interesting orchestration.
