Positive Comments: Any song that begins with slap bass gets my instant approval!!!Very catchy stuff. Gives me a Roxette vibe throughout, also the pace and mastering. The break at around 2:35 is smooth. The tiny key change at 3:40 is striking. This could go straight into a pop album!

Constructive Comments: I think the mixing needs some attention. The bass is too present, relative to the guitars and synths.I’d do a bit more with the refrain, maybe add some more strumming, or high notes trilling.

Constructive Comments: Only enough here to pique genuine curiosity. Not enough to offer much in the way of a useful and constructive comment. )

Song: Underneath

Reviewer: Tony Tersmette

Positive Comments: Loved this. Beautiful voice and piano effective synth parts and other effects. Well performed, recorded and produced. The halting nature of work gives pause to reflect on, and in fact amplifies, the darkness of the song. One certainly feels the authenticity of the message, that it comes from deep in the artist’s heart. Morose, perhaps, but very appealing nonetheless, draws one in.

Constructive Comments: Almost sounds like this is an intro to a larger work, a dynamic elaboration with still more instrumentation. A tasty appetizer before a truly fine dining experience.

Positive Comments: Extremely clever song about a man apparently condemned to eat a lot of junk food because he was “born this way”. Reminds me a lot of Sammy Hagar “I cant Drive 55”. Both in the style and chords as well as the content, being unable to control oneself. Brilliant guitar work and flawless production and performance. This is a really great idea for a song, awesome job here.

Constructive Comments: I thought I heard some interesting keys or piano sprinkled in early in the sing that was really awesome, I would have loved to hear some more of it, but I think it was to accentuate the lyric about trading in the “piano for a piece of cake”? I also liked the David Lee Roth type grunts between the lyrics, which I would have liked to hear more of. Just “food for thought” if you pardon the food expression. Hey, maybe that could somehow be the hook “food for thought”. Lol! Anyway great song here!

Positive Comments: Very interesting song. My first impression was that it was going to be a punk rock song, but as I listened it Kind of reminds me of rap rock if there is such a thing. I can say for sure I have not heard any other song like this on broadjam, The song definitely stands out as being extremely unique. I really like the percussion, not sure if it is Cajon with brushes or those shaky things, which I forgot what they’re called, but Brilliant contrast with the heavy metal style elect guitar. I like the rough cool edge the vocals sets the mood for the song. Instrumentation and arrangement match the vocal style very well I guess this was categorized as Lo Fi indie rock Very well produced and performed, I feel like this song could work well in the right kind of movie scene or TV series scene This is definitely a niche type of song. Well done!

Constructive Comments: Not much to add here. Very well done I would say

Positive Comments: I like the vocal phrasing in the verses and pre-chorus though the vocals are a bit high in the mix.- Chorus is clear. but a bit downbeat from verse/pre. Like the post-chorus and that the writers dedicated to creating flowing musical parts. Not sure who this reminds me of- no-one specific comes to mind.

Constructive Comments: Tighten up the vocal mix a beat… drive the song a bit more with percussion.. I believe at its core it’s an upbeat-positive song-bring that out a bit more. Appreciate the writing.

Song: Sad and Blue/Penny Towers Wilber vocal

Reviewer: John Walradt

Positive Comments: Ah, the 60s. Those were the days, weren’t they? When cars had distinct looks and burgers were just 25 cents. While sitting on the brown vinyl in the restaurant, the jukebox had a song like this playing with a Doris Day voice, lush strings, piano, and the melody breezing up and down the scales. Lyrically simple, it tells you not to blue because your untrue love left you, because in that true kind of optimism that you would find in a Nat King Cole song, you’ll find love again!

Constructive Comments: This song does what it’s supposed to do, and as the market goes, there’s always room for a song like this where they are looking for an early 60s kind of sound. Maybe it’s not the kind of song that will change your life. The lyrics sound like they have several cliches, the words rhyme because they can, the melody blends in with most anything else from that time. But for mood, it works, and you don’t have to change that.

Positive Comments: That spoken intro is just great. I love the drama of the song and the squeals and shouts. Fantastic vocal performance. The changes of pace and audience participation really bring the song alive. A catchy song. Entertaining lyrics. A superb recording. Very engaging.

Constructive Comments: I only marked down the market potential because it’s a bit of a niche tune, but otherwise it’s perfect – a true work of art in its own way.
