Positive Comments: This is pure sonic fun! A plethora of sounds come in to the consistent beat throughout the song. Love the flute and all the other interesting sounds the producer brings in, including a sound that sounds like someone saying “hip hop”. Song builds and then kicks back to simple and then builds again, making it very interesting to listen to. Keys have a mellow sound. Well done!

Constructive Comments: Even though it’s not anywhere near my genre, I think you did great and really know your stuff!

Positive Comments: Wow! Some superb instrumentation going on here. The guitar work obviously stands out particularly and is brilliant! I love the bridge section where the guitar turns almost pseudo-aggressive! Never heard that in a guitar before!Definitely shades of Dire Straits going on here, but unique and certainly not a copy….I’ve never reviewed a pure instrumental version before so found it fascinating to do so….title wise, I just had a vision of a meandering river, perhaps in Africa as there enough subtle hints to somewhere perhaps with that feel…

Constructive Comments: I’m now curious to know if this is an instrumental version of a track with lyrics…I would love to see the lyrics or even write some for such a brilliant piece! Nothing in terms of constructive criticism to give!

Positive Comments: Good tune. I really liked the singers tone and the chorus effect used on his vocal. It worked really well. For some reason Ry Cooder came to mind when listening to this track. I think it had more to do with the vibe of the song then anything else. 2 thumbs up and if I had more thumbs to give I would. Good work!

Positive Comments: A really beautiful tune with a lovely recurring motif, which gives the piece great structure. The musicianship is first class. Subtle use of strings which don’t drown out the piano but enhance it. Very nicely recorded. Would work great for film/TV.

Constructive Comments: Nothing to add.

Positive Comments: I love the string intro. Great change to the stripped back instrumentation for the verse at 0.15. Beautiful brass element at 1.35. Inventive bridge at 2.15. All round exceptional instrumentation and arrangement. Strong committed vocal performance. The song builds nicely and keeps the listener hooked from start to finish. The song is very catchy…worthy of Elton John or Electric Light Orchestra.

Constructive Comments: This is a really great song. The only change I would make would be to end the song at 3.15, because that feels like the natural ending. I wrote above that this song is worthy of Elton John. In hindsight it’s stronger than most of his songs in my opinion.
