Positive Comments: I love it when people wander from the well beaten path of typical stuff…. this was very enjoyable to listen to. It had not only unique character, ala John Phillip Sousa style, but had a very good melody as well. For the most the instruments sounded good to my ears, although I might suggest a few things in the comments below. Nice job!!

Constructive Comments: You melody is excellent. I would’ve had the woodwinds participate maybe verse 2 or during the bridge just to break it up a little. The horns sounded good to my ears, except for the low horns. Either they were used in a way that Ive never heard real horns used, or they were too dominant. I’d like to also suggest a tuba (oompah) to add some depth, and perhaps a piccolo trill here and there. Overall I really liked this piece…

Positive Comments: I loved this piece. You’ve done an excellent job at creating a mood. Melodically it’s excellent. I love how you go back to the initial melody near the ending. This is one great song, I would LOVE to do a string arrangement for this. It has a lot of emotion and I just LOVE the melody. I think it would be a classic for the main melody of a movie to TV show.

Constructive Comments: The piano sound is not very good. NOT to be confused with the writing and music (which is excellent), but the actual sound itself. If I could suggest anything for this piece, it would be to record it on an actual piano, or at least a much better virtual piano, and don’t use a click track. Let the tempo speed up and slow down as to how it feels natural to you.

Positive Comments: You’ve done a nice job or recording this piece overall in my opinion. The drums in particular have a very nice sound. Everything blends well, nothing overplayed and nothing stands out as weird or out of place to my ears. I have to say that it was a perfect setup for a vocal… I would’ve liked to hear a singer on it.

Constructive Comments: The cello sound was not quite as good as the other instruments to me. I would’ve used a midi CC controller to move the modulation and the expression to give it more life. You can also draw this in, most DAWS can do that. However that said the very instrument that carries a song, in this case the cello should be almost flawless as it is front and center.

Positive Comments: A great vocal performance. You really feel the pain and emotion the artist is trying to convey.

Constructive Comments: The backing music is a bit high, it takes away from the vocal performance starting about 1/3rd into it. You could also consider having the level increase and decrease based on the emotion you wish to invoke.

Positive Comments: I really enjoyed the doubled and layered vocals throughout. Nice arrangement and well executed song.

Constructive Comments: My only critique is the song isn’t very unique. I feel because of that placing it in a song or movie should not be too hard, a very timeless piece that fits numerous eras.

Positive Comments: Has a bit of that 80’s pop vibe. I really liked the arrangement, vocals have a bit of a Robert Palmer vibe.

Constructive Comments: The “I’m content to tell you all” around the 2:30 mark is odd vocal pacing based on the rest of the song. Overall well done, original piece. I enjoyed it.
