Positive Comments: You had me from the first note. I loved the vocals. I wanted more specific of why the girl did what she did in the verses and the big payoff in the chorus. Did you like specific instrumental parts–vocals 1) Does my intro make you want to hear the song? yes 2) Does my opening line draw you in and make you want to hear more? Somewhat 3) Is my melody interesting? yes 4) Does my melody get stuck in your head? yes 5) Does my chorus stand out and take the song to a higher place? Somewhat.

Constructive Comments: My humble suggestions for the arrangement are to contrast more between the verse and chorus. The lyrics were general and I wanted specific details. In V1 set up the characters, context and setting. The chorus is the hook of the song and V2 add more specific details playing to your hooks. Wishing you that best with this song. Happy writing. 6) Is my chorus easy to sing along with after one listen? yes 7) What does my song make the listener want to do? Dance? Cry? Laugh? Sing? Sing along 8) What universal emotion does my song tap into? Longing 9) Is my idea strong enough to carry an entire song? Somewhat 10) Would I want to listen to this over and over in my car? Yes with better lyrics.

Positive Comments: Like the theme – Cool vocals and lyrics. Good arrangement and good production. Overall a cool track. Nice slice of rock.

Constructive Comments: Well produced and nice arrangement. Nice and tight structurally. Crisp sound. As a track there is a lot going for it and (almost) nothing to critcise. I woule bring down the female vocals a notch at the front end of the song. But that really is being nit picky. Nice job!

Positive Comments: I believe the subject matter is probably quite appropriate.

Constructive Comments: I don’t believe it would hurt to re-mix this song. You have to record each part-instrument&vocal and remix so that everything good comes out, is distinct and necessary. Your pitch is better then many I have heard, but it wouldn’t hurt to stay on the top sound of the note.

Positive Comments: Nice pop song, the vocals are nicely done, they work very well in this genre. Nice beat, the drums sounded great, the snare and the kick were they should be in the mix. I could hear this tune being used in a tv show, or a film, due to it’s high energy. Interesting lyrics, in that they are not the normally positive ones you would hear with this type of song. Well done!

Constructive Comments: I liked it very much, I wouldn’t change a thing.

Positive Comments: I love the concept and the groove is definitely there. Initially I thought the vocal was sampled from either Biz Markie, but then at points it almost sounded like a Christopher Wallace impersonator, which I found amusing. I could see this actually goin somewhere if give a little more time to put more meaningful lyrical content. Not that what is done is bad, just wasn’t really sayin much. The instrumentation was cool, just felt like it was missin a good flow with some repeated sample type thing in spots, but still kinda cool.

Constructive Comments: I would consider puttin’ more effort into the lyrics, make the verses flow better with relatable content to the hook. Im sure there would be an even better feel if the drums were a lil more natural sounding and less Rock feeling, I LOVE the guitar, but I’d like to hear that even more gritty in its attack with the drums a lil more crunchy, natural but in your face hittin’. Even with these things I’ve commented I still feel this song has a lot of potential.

Positive Comments: Did you like specific instrumental parts–I love the vocal and the guitar lyrics–I wanted more specifics in the verse and the hook in the chorus. 1) Does my intro make you want to hear the song? yes2) Does my opening line draw you in and make you want to hear more? Yes 3) Is my melody interesting? At first yes but need more highs and lows to keep the listener interested4) Does my melody get stuck in your head? somewhat 5) Does my chorus stand out and take the song to a higher place? no

Constructive Comments: Have any suggestions for the arrangement- Love the sentiment of the song but with a melody with high and lows this could be a killer song.lyrics–here is the job of each section–Jobs of Each Section (does each section do its job: v1–character, context, setting chorus–give the big idea v2–take the big idea further bridge (if necessary) –take the big idea even further. Keep writing and developing this song it has great potential.6) Is my chorus easy to sing along with after one listen? somewhat7) What does my song make the listener want to do? Dance? Cry? Laugh? Sing? tap my feet8) What universal emotion does my song tap into? Sadness9) Is my idea strong enough to carry an entire song? yes10) Would I want to listen to this over and over in my car? yes with a better melody and more specific lyrics. Overall great job

Positive Comments: These bluesy lyrics will bring you right into the living room and make you feel like the distraught soul is pleading with you, or you may be reminded of how you felt when you were in her situation. Either way, it hits your heart! This would be a great album cut, and a much requested song for Tracy Chapman. It is conversational, desperate, and puts this core feeling of needing reassurance and effort across in an emotionally powerful way. The tune is easy to follow and compliments the lyrics well, rising to a climax as it moves through the chorus.

Constructive Comments: You have a very good melody and lyrics to match that anyone could enjoy and sing with an instrument or not, and that’s 90 percent of it, so an automatic five stars. Here’s a few things you might like to experiment with: how about a heavier, grittier female vocal? A stronger strum on the guitar, maybe a second guitar emphasizing the eighth notes in the chorus. Just something to give it more richness and some punch! Production is about personal preferences, of course, because the song itself is the base and the proof of everything, and you are a terrific songwriter!
