The tune is different and memorable, the guitar gives the right amount of grit to a silky melody that moves like gentle waves. You can just picture yourself as you are in between the dream state and waking…and a band of angels are there! Drift into the story that the singer sings for you. The singer’s soulful vocals work just right for this song, bringing the emotion to the side of your bed. This song could work anywhere, and it would be a great song to conclude an album of terrific songs!

Positive Comments: I liked the snare fill that was inserted throughout. It was kinda interesting to hear. I liked how it began and ended with the same snare and gunshot.

Constructive Comments: I’d be curious to hear what it would sound like to have the snare throughout. Maybe just a marching beat, something simple and minimalistic as to not overshadow the vocals and snare rolls.

Positive Comments: Your guitar has a very pleasing tone. And it’s well played. I classified this song as Folk, but I also thought it could be Country, just add in a crying steel guitar and it’s right there! You have great inspirational lyrics here, they easily describe a very vivid vision of life.

Constructive Comments: I would really like to hear this song in a fully produced version, I think it lends itself well. As I think more of the possibility of a steel guitar, along with bass and drums, maybe vocal harmonies, I can feel my foot starting to tap. Best wishes!

Positive Comments: What a personal song of sensitivity and hurt that cannot be ignored! A song with an important message from the soul. The melody is easy to follow, lyrically tells the story clearly, gets to the point, the frustrations, the criticisms from others, the dreams and desires that look so far away. Instrumentally minimal with pounding keyboards to emphasize the emotion. Exasperated, excellent vocals…what else could possibly carry such lyrics…and at the end it ends with hoping to remain invisible to avoid any more pain. This song would work well in several places, from documentaries, things regarding health, or a personal story in a video.

Constructive Comments: Songs like these need to be written and heard. There is so much surface stuff out there and I say there’s very much needed room for art and songs that make you think, make you consider, make you feel and to see things from a different angle. I hope you continue to write these along with all other aspects of life you want to share. Keep going with it!
