Broadjam Artist: Jeff Ashbaker
Song: Love Is A Natural Thing

Reviewer: ROGER BOLT

Positive Comments: Great driving song driven by solid and expressive country female vocals.

Constructive Comments: Arraignment a little cluttered but still on point to deliver a familiar country formula tune. Vocals seemed a little muted and should be mastered with more clarity and presence. Do more, your on to something. Love to hear a slow one.

Song: YOU BRING THE SUNSHINE

Reviewer: ROGER BOLT

Positive Comments: I think you’re on a good roll here coming from the heart. Always reaches the heart. I’m more interested in the song melody and lyrics rather than the recording quality. In this regard, I liked the lyrics and the story. The bridge in the middle was well placed to add balance.

Constructive Comments: Mix seemed a little cluttered and could be simpler. It’s still good though. I think certain areas in the song could have been a bit more dynamic to set up phrasing better but the high notes on the vocal were on the right track so to speak. Good effort, do more.

Positive Comments: Nice diversity of guitar textures and licks. Great for media music bed. Commercial appeal for ads and or program background music beds.

Constructive Comments: Do more of it. Sounds like this may be your niche market place.

Song: The Mind: Breakdown

Reviewer: John van Wicklen

Positive Comments: Nice tune, piano dominant,

Constructive Comments: I don’t write instrumentals but enjoy listening. To me this is more jazz than pop…

Broadjam Artist: B.Still
Song: MILAGRO DE AMOR

Reviewer: Simpson-Mancine Productions

Positive Comments: A very nice guitar-driven latin groove with some nice changes. There’s a lot going on in here. Give this a little remix and it could be a nice background piece for the right film/TV project.

Constructive Comments: The mix is a bit uneven between instruments and from part to part. The ride cymbal seem to dominate overall and we lose the timbale and quieter percussive elements a bit. The keys don’t seem to cut through enough when they take over for the guitar. But that technical stuff aside, this is a fun tune and has the right feel to work in a project with the right approach to the mix!

Song: Let’s Go

Positive Comments: Once this kicked in after the intro, I was pleasantly surprised. Very cool classic rock vibe that reminded me of Bowie and Springsteen at the same time, which is pretty neat! There is a lot of good stuff happening in the layers of this track.

Constructive Comments: The vocals in the intro seemed too quiet, but come up to a reasonable level by the verse. The drum mix is a bit distracting at times… always especially tough to mix fast hi-hats and make them sound dynamic. But a good tune, overall!

Song: schwere nuss

Reviewer: Simpson-Mancine Productions

Positive Comments: Has a nice groove that makes me think of an 80s style movie opening credits sequence. Classic sounding and bouncy.

Constructive Comments: This works pretty well as it is… part of was waiting for a higher register melody to take over at some point, but that is just a personal observation. Still a solid foundation for an 80s style backing track.

Positive Comments: Very cute piece with very good instrumentation and very traditional and effective sounding vocals.

Constructive Comments: Very appealing tune.
