Positive Comments: This is great- reminds me a bit of Sneaky Sound System. The female voice is perfect for this kind of track and really good. Good introduction of different sounds at different point of the track, which gave it some good variety. Great beat and good overall sense of musicality.

Constructive Comments: I felt the vocals could pop out a bit more- I wanted them to be louder, as I couldn’t hear what was being said in the chorus (was it “dance?”). It could also do with taking out the main synthesizer riff that plays throughout a few times. It’s a great riff, but it gets a bit repetitive when we hear it so constantly throughout. it could be taken out for a few bars- give the listener something a bit different for that time- and then BOOM back in again… that would be really satisfying.

Positive Comments: This was fun and had me bopping. I really liked the saxophone- it played some sweet sounds. The sounds all complimented each other. It also featured some good lyrics and overall made me smile. Good beat too and I liked, what sounded like, the backing vocals.

Constructive Comments: A couple of the higher notes were a tiny bit pitchy- nothing that can’t be improved with regular practise of hitting those notes (I know because I’ve had to work on the same thing myself).

Positive Comments: Great instrumentation- loved the electric guitar. All the sounds sat really nicely together and complemented each other. Great variation of melody, it definitely took me on a journey. At parts it reminded me of Mike Oldfield, who I love.

Constructive Comments: Possibly could add some lyrics to a track like this- it would really juice it out a bit. Maybe a couple of moments where the beat comes out for a bit and then comes back in- just for variety.

Positive Comments: Really great beats and bass- definitely got my head bopping. Great use of synth sounds. Loved the dip in volume in the middle for variety. Could see this working for a video game.

Constructive Comments: It could have taken me to a few more places- I would have liked to have seen the track have a bit more variety in sound (ie: the chords used, the way they were used and the instruments). Possibly in that middle section where it dips, the track could have done something a bit different or stopped completely- paused for a moment and then- BOOM- back into the electronic riff.

Positive Comments: This track reminds me of some of the video game music I hear from my son’s computer games. It was upbeat and fun and I liked the unique synth sounds. I did like the guitar at the end- that was cool.

Constructive Comments: I would have preferred to hear some vocal sounds or other interesting sound effects. I also would have liked to see the chord progression change up a bit and for the track to take a different turn throughout, just to keep it interesting and not too “same same.”

Positive Comments: Here’s a regional Christmas carol focused on the great state of California. Maybe not cold and snowy, but the writer paints a good picture of yuletide in this region. I especially like the way that he appreciates the different cultures in the state, the diversity that makes the holiday all the more special. This is definitely a Christ-honoring carol that celebrates the day the Son of God was born. Raspy vocal reminds me somewhat of Barry McGuire. Favorite lyric: Like they do in Kalamazoo.

Constructive Comments: Thanks for writing this. California is my home state. Hopefully no earthquakes on Christmas. Keep up the good work!
