Positive Comments: A solid rock/country song with a great hook. Well performed and produced with nice stereo acoustic guitars and electric lead, solid bass and drums with interesting fills and breaks. Great backing vocal harmonies.

Constructive Comments: Not a lot to offer for constructive criticism, this is a very well executed song/recording. From a production standpoint, the only suggestion I have would be to double the lead vocal track and blend it in strategically to give it a fuller more up-front sound that matches the sonic space of the guitars/instrumentation. Great work!

Positive Comments: A tight, well produced rock/pop track with nice use of the stereo field. Very tasteful lead guitar with good dynamics and tone. Drums have a very nice acoustic live-studio kind of sound and are mixed in a pleasantly “dry” way. Uses a fade out, which is something I think is missing from a lot of modern music. Very well done.

Constructive Comments: Not much to offer in the way of constructive criticism… the track is melodic, tasteful and well-produced.

Positive Comments: Cool to hear a live recording here. Like the use of slide/steel, kind of blends in a bit of country influence into the overall blues feel.

Constructive Comments: Always tough to get a great mix on a live song… the quality of the recording does tend to hurt the track at times, especially the vocal track being hard-panned to the right channel and the occassional clipping of the signal.

Positive Comments: Great sound! Love the instrumentation and the groove of the song. The hook is good.

Constructive Comments: Only real complaint is that the lyrics in the verse seem a little repetitive in meaning. Would like them to be more clever with some original metaphors to draw in the listener. With some more clever lines in the verse this could be a really interesting and maybe kind of funny song, cuz we all know THAT person. 🙂

Positive Comments: Excellent vocals and instrumentation. Quality of recording sounded great.

Constructive Comments: By the end of the song I was really into it, but at the beginning not so much, even on a second listen. I think at the beginning you could get away with some single guitar strums and let them ring out as you sing. You have such a good voice I think your voice can carry vs 1 with even less instrumentation, then hit with some of the nice instrumentation in the chorus. That will also make it more intimate which will draw in the listener. Lyrics were good but personally I’d like to see more imagery to take me somewhere, even just for brief moments. I’d also like the chorus to be a little more exciting musically.

Positive Comments: I enjoyed the chord progression and he varied attack. Nice dynamic changes throughout and the swell on the string sounds was a solid touch. This could easily be used in film/tv production.

Constructive Comments: My only complaint is it felt a little “chordy” at times and not enough melody produced, but for a backing piece it’s sensational.
