Positive Comments: nice rock groove with a strong bass. hook is solid, though I can’t really say much about the vocals since I don’t speak French.. oh well…liked the panning effects with the synth as well as the echo on the vocals – sparing yet effective. The breakdown with the strong backing vocals panned to both sides is really sweet.

Constructive Comments: about the only negative I have here is that the bridge seems kind of formula and empty (perhaps if I understood the vocals I wouldn’t feel this way) – I also feel that at times the vocals are a bit brittle with too many hard esses.overall a very nice straight up rock tune with a nice production and strong hook.

Constructive Comments: sadly (or not), I can’t really say anything that would make this song better – well done!!!!

Positive Comments: has that retro, 80’s pop feel, ala Berlin with all the synth sounds, and that’s cool. the lower register vocals kind of surprised me, and again, I enjoyed it – also liked the doubling of the vocals. Lyrics are a plus as well and the vocals sing it mostly with conviction.a nice production.

Constructive Comments: I couldn’t help but feel that there were parts of the lyrics that got trapped in the melodic convention – like when you broke apart the line “could have been so stupid as to” into 2 separate lines. overall I enjoyed the song and really liked the breakdown at the end.

Positive Comments: This is a retro sound for sure, very 70s pop radio in the vein of “Honey” by Bobby Goldsboro. The songwriting is simple, nice vocal and the modest piano is just right. If only the recording quality matched!

Constructive Comments: If you have a better file, re-upload it. This sounds like a cassette that was left in a hot glove compartment all summer, with dropouts and distortion. The song deserves better and if you don’t have a better version I’d strongly suggest re-recording it. Overall it has nice potential but it gets crushed under all that wobbly distortion.

Positive Comments: Movie track, yes. Preparing for a fight, an epic one. I see a lot of efforts put on this as well as a nice creativity. Hats off for this, I am a fan of epic movies and cinematic sounding tracks. Hans Zimmer is my favorite composer, all times, so pls trust in my criticism, please see below, it is all for your improvement -) Bravo!

Constructive Comments: The muted trumpet should be midi edited, if you can, so it feels less mechanic. Same for other instruments if you are able to do so or get it done, for a more human feeling. The snare rolls are invasive, not enough variations and too much present at the beginning. It gives however a relieving break around 2 min.I know it takes a bit of savvyness with computers, but you should invest in better software, or sounds, and if it is your interest and you have time, in how to use them, with good mixing techniques.

Positive Comments: There is potential in this track for mini gigs or private parties, when it is time to have an intimate and bluesy time with a partner on the dance floor. Relaxing. Vocals are cool, but pls see constructive comments below.

Constructive Comments: Voice recording issues with the mic popping and unequal levels of vocals. Also some pitch issues. But hats off for the live pref, because we all hear that it is, with no studio work at all. SO thats thumbs up and we need to hear sometimes real unaltered talent :-)Accordion may be too present at times when singing, losing the focus on vocals.

Positive Comments: This song’s message is not only powerful, it’s presented in a way that packs a huge punch. The chorus is amazing background vocals accentuate one of the catchiest hooks I’ve heard on BJ (especially blues) in a long time. The first verse is great – sets up for the breakaway (devil loses – yay!). I love the last line of the chorus “cause there ain’t enough love around here”. Great use of internal rhyme in the cul de sac verse. This song is a total winner in my opinion. I’d love to hear more from this artist.

Constructive Comments: Work on the outro. Just a little more something is needed to go out with the class that permeates the song.
