Positive Comments: the groundworks are here for a very cool song – nice lyrics and a nice retro groove with a strong hook – very reminiscent of some of Bowie’s tunes – very dark and mysterious but with a direct groove to it.

Constructive Comments: ah those vocals… they really hold the song back in so many ways… I also feel that the middle sections (those lines that don’t start with You Saved Me) need some attention – the vocal melody meanders all over the place without definition or destination – I would stick to a simple chord progression and have the melody be one concise theme that you can drive home.I also was not a fan of the stops on the drum machine – sounds like an unnecessary affectation to me.still – there’s a really nice feel if you could hone it and polish it.

Positive Comments: great vibe and cool bounce to the track.Like the lyric content and what it has to say.recording is very nice – bass tone is cool – (like the say you use the bass for fills before the chorus)

Constructive Comments: the chorus here isn’t very strong – while the lyric hook (guess I’m good at being me) works – the rest of the chorus meanders and I feel that it could be stronger melodically.Overall this is a very strong song, sung well, with just the right bit of back vocals – the inst. hook works and the bouncy feel works, but the chorus holds this back a bit.

Positive Comments: Great acoustic guitar tone. Everything in the mix is balanced well. I really enjoyed the ending chorus, stripping away most of the instrumentation and finishing with just the guitar really added to the “sadness” feel of the song. Well done

Constructive Comments: I don’t really have much constructive feedback. Well constructed country song. Drums fills were tight, which can be difficult to achieve in slower songs like this. Solid track, well done.

Positive Comments: Original melody and beat with a nice chord progression. I really enjoyed the intro to the song. Talented writer with strong lyrics that fit the overall feel of the song. Well done!

Constructive Comments: Bring the vocals up in the mix, they get drowned out by the rest of the music. The rest of the song is mixed well and you can pick out each part. Between the 2:38 and 2:44 mark the vocalist’s range doesn’t quite hit the note, feels like he’s stretching to hit it.

Positive Comments: The singer has a great, calming voice. This would pair well with a series of Christian themed songs on YouTube Kids.

Constructive Comments: I feel like you could repeat the verse a bit slower in the 30+ second outtro (starting around the 1:32 mark.) It would add a bit of depth to the song, and especially since it is geared towards children, allows them to hear it at a different speed and help them grasp the overall theme.

Positive Comments: Great classic rock vibe with a catchy chord progression. Instrumentation and feel reminds me of Cheap Trick. Drums sound solid in the song, balanced well in the mix. Strong guitar solo, fits well with the melody of the song.

Constructive Comments: The engine noise is a little overdone in the song. Overall though nothing really to complain about, solid construction and performance. So I’m just being picky.
