Positive Comments: Great bass opening hook. The slap bass is very powerful throughout and really drives the song. Great tempo, instrumentation and vocals. Well constructed song, I would listen to more from this band. Superior talent for sure.

Constructive Comments: Not much of anything. I was not a huge fan of the long outtro and all the special effects added in at the end. I feel like it takes away from how strong the rest of the song was. Overall well put together and really enjoyed this arrangement.

Positive Comments: Well constructed soft rock/acoustic song. Lyrics fit well with the soft flowing melody. I like the addition of the synth strings later in the song, adds depth and supports the song structure well. Well done and well put together.

Constructive Comments: I’m not sure what if anything drums would add to the song. Overall I really wouldn’t add anything to it. The mix is good, instrumentation is tight. If you were to add any drums, I would put in some spot percussion, like shakers or some cymbal swells, or a little high hat here and there. But like I said, I think the song stands strong as is so probably isnt necessary.

Positive Comments: This song definitely captures the feel of the death on the cross. Lyrics and melody meld well. The vocalist also captures the folk style well. Arrangement is good. It is my opinion that we can never have too many songs about the crucifixion.

Constructive Comments: Some things that would tighten up this song in my opinion would be to review the rhyme structure and make sure all verses have the same. Right now there are no rhymes in the 3rd and 4th section and my ear really wanted to hear some. I’d recommend a rewrite on those items and would love to hear it again after changes are made.

Positive Comments: Song has a fun feel to it. I like the line “whenever I want to look Him up, Up I look.” Nice rhymes. I like the fun little vocal plays.

Constructive Comments: I feel the hook needs some work. Maybe you could rewrite to bookend the hook on the first and last line of your chorus. In our current racially struggling world, I’m not sure I’d use the “african girls” line but that’s just my opinion. Song could use a few tweaks but overall nice little tune.
