Positive Comments: Very easy listen, reminiscent of Steely Dan at times (instrumentally). The mix on the instruments is excellent and the vocal is solid. I enjoyed the style and it was true to Classic Rock form. Well done.

Constructive Comments: Pretty wordy! In my opinion the lead vocal may be about 3db too hot in the mix, but that’s very subjective. I still enjoyed the tune.

Positive Comments: Good organic song with lots of minor chords. Nicely crafted guitar interludes between the verses, with a healthy dose of folksy, authentic lyrics. This kind of reminds me of Charlie Daniels type of song. Good production and unpolluted, no electronic or synthetic instruments. The use of a plain acoustic guitar and singing worked well to give the song plenty of homespun flavor. Great job.

Constructive Comments: The acoustics and sound were great, which in my mind, is always what makes a song most pleasing to listen to. In other words some songs just sound good and are pleasing to the ear, while others do not. This song is definitely pleasing to listen to. I was not sure if the lyrics told a complete story. I was not too sure what the story is. I would have liked it maybe moving through time telling more of a linear story. How he came to be this way? Was he always on the dark side or were there some experiences that made him that way? I am curious to the story behind the song. I’m gonna read about it once I see the artist and the song.

Positive Comments: Terrific tune. Extremely well done. Every instrument is well played and sounds great. The guitar, which has great tone, takes the lead here and love the counter point midway which is a very nice touch. The base and drums really have it going on in the background, both in sync with great timing. The mix is bang on, everything in its proper place and level. A real pleasure to listen to.

Constructive Comments: Wouldn’t change a note or a sound. It’s all so well done.

Positive Comments: My very first PERFECT SCORE on Broadjam! Partly because I’m picky as hell, but this song deserves all the accolades. Great voice, fantastic musicianship and the RECORDING – wow! Whoever mixed and mastered this did a superb job. The arrangement is well-thought out and the singer changes timbre as needed during the song. Finally I get something with real depth to review! All bright spots for me, and if I were a Country DJ this would be next up on the turntable.

Positive Comments: Excellent little groove! I could see this being licensed for a TV or film background. Solid playing and the recording was very pure, with a great rhythm that reminded me of Peter Gabriel. I really enjoyed it.

Constructive Comments: Would have loved to hear more dynamics or a bridge with a 30-second change of direction to make it more commercial. Remaining in the same groove at the same level sort of limits its possibilities.

Positive Comments: The feel of this song reminded me of God Bless The USA. Solid singing and playing, and it was a nice, easy listen start to finish.

Constructive Comments: I felt I was straining to hear the backing instruments in the mix. Not that the vocal was too loud, just too far forward to blend for my personal taste. Still enjoyed it and if you ever consider re-mixing it I’d certainly try to level all the other players so they sound more a part of the action.
