Positive Comments: The arrangement of this song is spot on. The way it moves forward is great, the breaks hit and the drums really push the track forward. I can hear a big ‘Dubba Johnny’ influence in here, very similar to his ‘Dubstep Tutorial’ but i would say that your song has more depth and movement to keep it interesting. This could be great in a variety of film and tv work where dubstep is still making its way.
Constructive Comments: The mix is good at parts, but overall it sounds very scooped in the mids. The bass sounds as if it may be hitting your mix buss compressor/limiter a bit too hard and killing the dynamics. This in turn sounds as if the highs are then exhaggerated to try make a balance, leaving the mids missing with a bit too much low, low mids, and highs left in its place. It does sound as if the tracks are all individually mixed well though, just that your final processing on your 2 buss may need a bit of work, that or just a bit of rebalancing to the individual tracks and eq could potentially lead to better results as well if the 2 buss is clean by chance. Anyways, I do actually like the tune a lot and it has more marketable potential than many things ive reviewed on here and my opinions are just that, opinions, so keep it up mate!
