Positive Comments: The chords and general ideas are really pretty. The simple instrumentation of guitars and piano really works! I also really liked the clean electric guitar tone. The overall vibe has a peaceful feel. Nice work!

Constructive Comments: The mix could use some work. Everything seemed to be coming from the left channel, maybe try using some panning to get a little separation in the instruments. Also, at times the piano and guitar get a little bit out of time with each other. Try using some EQ and compression to help the piano come to the front of the mix sometimes.

Positive Comments: Nice intro, reminiscent of Metallica. Then, transitions into the heart of the song, propelled by some powerful, kick-ass guitar riffs. I liked the segmentation of the song, not repetitive, with interesting changes throughout, which were needed, given the length of the song. Nice vocal style with a high pitch reminiscent of Triumph. Also, I really liked the outro, with some nice power-ballad style finger picking.

Constructive Comments: The length of the song could be less, maybe making the song more pointed. I also wonder if it would be further enhanced with some more diverse instrumention, particularly on parts that repeated so that the successive repetition had an added or building element to it. Maybe some keyboards similar to the type used in Cars songs (not regular piano, but synthesized sound). Also some vocal harmonies may have enhanced the song, but the vocals sounded plenty fine as is. Nice classic rock song with a punch!

Positive Comments: Well-recorded and balanced. Very nice sound, reminding me of Vince Gill. I appreciate the smooth harmonies and the dynamics. It’s also nice to hear a full array of natural instruments. Excellent work overall, even though for me the song is too personal to have commercial value.

Constructive Comments: I would rate this song REALLY high, and I appreciate the subject matter being so personal, but for my taste it would be hard for an audience to connect nearly as much as the artist.

Positive Comments: The song has a very original sound and I enjoyed the bluesy aspect. I actually had my SG out and was jamming in G. Nice job putting it together as well. The bass was off the hook. The lyrics were great as well.

Constructive Comments: The main vocal was a bit pitchy at times but it wasn’t a deal-breaker. The one main cc I would give would be on the flow of the vocals. It seemed a bit off to me. Overall, well done.
