Positive Comments: Loved the vibe. Instrumentation and arrangement was nice. Perfect style for this instrumental. Can definitely hear this song in a movie. Great job!

Constructive Comments: I could barely make out some of the words. The vocals were too low or the instrumental was a bit high. Great job though.

Positive Comments: Nice tempo, nice vibe, instrumentation was nice. Good job.

Constructive Comments: Could barely hear the vocals over the instrumentation. Perhaps a good mix would allow to raise the volume of the vocals or lower the instrumentation. Nice job though.

Positive Comments: Love the piano feel in particular in combination with the vocals.Nice main lyric theme and that chorus is engaging.Gentle feel puts me in mind of Arrested Development, southern rap: nice.Nice key change in the middle keeps the interest going.Love the “love Y’all man” feel to it, that’s very appealing and charismatic.

Constructive Comments: Don’t like the bass sound, playing and line is good but I don’t think the sound sits well with the piano and the mix. In fact I think that’s the case for most of the instruments, the piano styling I really like but not sure the other instruments are sitting with it well in the mix. I like the guitar work not so much the organ.I’m not a rapper but I like it when there’s an ensemble feel and more voices join in making comments in the background so I’d put more of that in too. That would fit with the “Love Y’all” idea too which is great, very engaging

Positive Comments: Lovely light and easy listening feel.Great instrumentation and mix to support the mood and vocals.Kenny G kicks it off and we’ve instrumentation that’s very familiar and professional in terms of what plays on easy listening radio. The vocalist has a touch of Gloria Estefan going on and is great.Nice ocean sound effects and good mix of instruments and interesting chord changes.

Constructive Comments: Chorus is just a touch repetitive, I’d like one more stanza change and probably melody change in there. I think you’d have a hook there then.I’m a guitar lover but I think the outro and guitar work there is a bit long, could be edited down to the best. Shorter break and bring the vocals back at least if you want it more commercial I would say. Otherwise it’s nice easy listening all round.

Positive Comments: Singing put me straight in mind of Smokey Robinson and he wasn’t too bad was he. Nice strings and chord changes. The vocalist and styling is the hook for this.

Constructive Comments: I’m sorry but I think the lyrics are just a little weak. To really hook me I want something a bit more there – Tears of a Clown! There’s a lyric. I’m not sure the melody brings out the best in your singing either, some parts are lovely, some a bit weak. Weaker vocally and lyrically for me when you repeat “beating heart” itself and other parts much better when you sing verses and changes and the emotion comes out. I think the piano is a bit repetitive also, maybe sit it back in the mix and bring the strings and tuba/sax? forward in those parts.

Positive Comments: Lovely piano playing and mood, very thematic.Slightly sad and contemplative feel to me.Could well be something like the theme for a movie in a montage as our heroes consider events so far!

Constructive Comments: I do think you need some vocals. Even if this were to be a theme or piece for a soundtrack with just piano I think it needs a vocal melody and theme to really capture me. Or some more orchestration, some nice gentle strings would go very easily I think as it’s a down tempo, slightly melancholic or at least contemplative piece.

Positive Comments: Beautiful singing, lead and harmonies.Nice simple but clear piano playing in support of the voicing.Very heart-felt and moving emotion and spirituality in the vocals.

Constructive Comments: Initially I thought the lyric was Upper Father. I’m afraid I’m not a ‘religious’ person, even after reading the lyrics I had to look that up. So that’s my ignorance but in terms of garnering broad appeal that might confuse. And unfortunately most people know Abba as an annoying Swedish pop group and movie!I’m not sure I can offer anything to improve on it otherwise. It’s all about the vocals and they are great. Simple accompaniment is what’s called for and delivered.

Positive Comments: Excellent guitar tones. All the sounds on this song definitely feel straight from a 90s record, and those records sounded great! The band/musicians on this tune are definitely quality players and it is produced very well. Some great bass playing going on here! I really enjoy the production tricks like use of delay on vocals and crack sound on the snare drum.

Constructive Comments: Arrangement wise, I would have liked to have heard the guitar solo sort of split up. Once the full band kicks in, there is one verse, a chorus, and then a very extended guitar solo…followed by a verse/chorus/out. The long solo in the middle seems to take me out of the lyrics…might have cut the solo a little shorter and then had the 2nd verse/chorus, followed by another epic solo/fade.
