Positive Comments: Great sounding blues tune!! Great arrangement/playing and mix! Solo guitar is really sweet…ton of feeling and emotion!! Great track all around!!

Constructive Comments: The sampled horn sound could use more dynamics (pretty sure that’s a sampled horn?). Love to hear live horns but I know that’s expensive and logistically difficult. Great stuff!! Take care. Greg

Positive Comments: Great job with the groove. A fresh track with many jazz and rock, funk elements. Vocal is interesting, I enjoy the range. Song hits another level around two minutes. The tambourine really adds a lot. The halftime bridge was awesome, what an idea. And the syncopated hits in that section are brilliant. The horn accompaniment is great. Again the song elevates again around 4 minutes before the second halftime bridge. Song writing and music arranging at it’s finest. Vocals remind me a bit of one of my idols Doug Pinick. Cool lyrics, feels real, like I am hanging with you finding the nights hot spots. Drum programming is amazingly musical. Great guitar work! Nice strings in the bridge then they are gone. Awesome! Piano break was dope… everything is fresh and exciting. I wanted the song to continue… and after 4 plus minutes, that is amazing! This song would kill live on a big stage…. I’m there, you guys are great!

Constructive Comments: A song like this would be so much better with live drums but I understand the budgetary or production constraints. I felt like you could have kept the energy up and tagged the song on the chorus instead of hitting the bridge again and ending on that. Pretty much that is my only arrangement related issue. Guitar in the intro sounded a little out of tune.

Positive Comments: Smooth groove. Bring me back to Rolls Royce, Sheik and Rufus…. Chaka would approve. Vocals are luscious and sexy. Love the commitment to funk soul and smooth jazz in the song. I feel your passion for music and togetherness. Love the positive energy in this track. Nice arrangement. The Rhodes keys and guitar comping are sweet! Nice fills on the guitar. Mix is happening and this is not an easy perfect. There a lot of vocal cuts and tracks and I hear it all very clearly. Tone is on! I love how you change up the groove at the end of each 8 bar section… dropping the cross stick on the last bar really completes it for me. Musicianship is perfect, the space in this track makes it for me…. too many other immature song writers might try to do too much. Can we slow dance to this please… takes me back to my high school prom. Really nice harmonies tossed in at just the right places… your instincts are something you need to be proud of. I feel the love!

Constructive Comments: Drum machine in this genre and groove doesn’t bother me… great job setting up an open and funky groove… maybe a little organ interjections or pad as well but the overall instrumentation is dope! A stronger bass presence was missed I wanted to here nice little bass fills or a well thought out slap or two. I feel that the guitar was making up for the slight lack of bass interaction.
