Constructive Comments: Drum machine is a drawback but I understand monetary and accessibility restraints. Song didn’t seem to progress from the initial idea… really wanted to hear some change to round out and complement the main idea. Work on developing this even if it means bringing in a collaborator. This song has great potential. Best of luck and keep creating beautiful music. Quite a bit of hiss in the recording evident in the beginning. Mastering can help but something could have been done better at the record stage. Some intonation issues around :50 to the end.

Positive Comments: Really nice duet vocal. Solid performances and production. Love this song. The band is smoking1 has to be some of the best musicians in town… has that LA sound… Larry Carlton-ish solo was sweet. Top notch recording all around. Drum track is sooo right! Love the quarter note hat, not trying to shuffle it… while keeping it blues and jazzy not at all rock which if not performed with the right velocity, feel and control could have sounded rock. The drums are so consistent and clean that I may be fooled… could be samples and great programming… the Rhodes solo is beautiful, the whole track reminds me of Donald Fagens Nightfly album but with better production (dig that!). Mix is fantastic! This music is happy and brilliantly written and performed. Congrats on your enormous talent… know and believe that you are setting a new standard for REAL music in today’s society of button pushers and rehashes…. thank you!!

Constructive Comments: So envious of your talent, production and writing skills. Killed it in every way! This has to be the same artist as the song I just previously reviewed. Good luck… I know you are successful already but wishing to hear more of this music in the mainstream. Let me know if you ever play Catalina Jazz Club… I’m a big fan of this music.

Positive Comments: Sweet live tracks. Professionally recorded and performed. Keeping the standards high. Amazing pocket on this tune, so relaxed at this tempo but still remaining highly lively. Nice trombone break. Good instrumentation. Lyrics are relatable and fresh. Melody is complementary and oh so right. I love the bridge. Fantastic music from this artist… one of the very best on Broadjam. Raising the bar not only for his constituents but also for his own product. Never ceases to amaze me.

Constructive Comments: Just a couple of vocal notes not quite centered :10 to :24. Your high musical production brings out my most critical review… Earl your music is the best! With the outstanding performances I felt that the orchestration being on keyboards was the only drawback… the brass comping sounded like a keyboard… am I right? If not it might be my listening source and I apologize. I am on the road and reviewing from my iPad.

Positive Comments: I really like this song. It starts with a bang. It has a great energy to it. The lyrics were good. The hook was nicely done. The beat is very nice and is driving. I love the vocal quality and intensity. The recording quality was really good.

Constructive Comments: The arrangement could hav used a little more creativity. There could have been a few more breaks in the music for the drama.

Positive Comments: It’s a unique mashup of several genres that wouldn’t be expected to go together. It sounds freestyled but it works ok. Even though the writing was not done, I was surprised in a good way.

Constructive Comments: I think if the lyrics were more thought out and the recording was done better that it would be a very unique song that would do better than expected.
