Positive Comments: Simple, easy to learn for beginners, campfire song or simple love song. Could use more to the song, feels more like the building blocks of a song than an actual song. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, also is not classical more like country.

Constructive Comments: Lyrics too simple, just not enough content, not extremely catchy for a long time. Would hear this, think it’s catchy for a while then forget about it later or remember it as one of those guilty pleasures.

Positive Comments: Good hook, good use of vocal harmonies and using pauses between phrases was a very good idea. Simple enough to be catchy yet complicated enough instrumentally to be hooky for the ears underneath the singing. Intro was well thought out as was the outro, nicely done.

Constructive Comments: Lyric content, while is suppose to be simple I feel is almost TOO simple in this song. UNLESS this is going to be used for some kind of tv show or maybe a simple musical. I could see it being simple for that then.

Positive Comments: The concept is there, and it’s not a bad one. Drums and organ I believe, which could work, but timpani, mallet, and organ tend to work better.

Constructive Comments: I feel like this is a very confusing piece. The intervals and notes are clashing a lot. Now if this is on purpose that is one thing, but without reading the sheet music, I am unable to tell if it is or not. I would suggest switching this from organ to the piano. The drums are also a little off in some ways, as if hits were oddly timed.

Positive Comments: From the beginning of the singing, she has a very pleasant timbre and tone quality. The instruments chosen compliment her very well. The interval use between vocal and instruments is spot on. Reminds me of a better quality disney musical song. I could see this in a musical or opera actually. Very well done .

Constructive Comments: Everything about the song, theoretically and practically is well done. I wouldn’t say the song is perfect, I would have to look at the scores themselves, but I can’t HEAR anything obvious to say there is anything wrong. Well done and excited to see if it goes anywhere.

Constructive Comments: I can feel your heartbeat, such a great line/hook. Felt I didn’t want to wait so long for it to come around again after the first time, then again, it was worth the wait!

Positive Comments: Sounds a lot like older Nobuo from the Final Fantasy series or maybe K from Legend of Zelda. Like the constant movement and use of the moving bass. Clearly has an understanding of the instrument of choice. Would like to hear what comes after this piece in the set, if it is a set.

Constructive Comments: While I love older video game music, this sounds almost too close to it. Would like to have heard more dynamically, but if this is a harpsichord arrangement I can see why it sounds this way. Seemed as if it was close to the root a lot, maybe moving away from there wouldn’t be a bad idea or maybe trying to turn this into a fugue arrangement.

Positive Comments: Amazing use of instruments to fill out the sound. Little motifs underneath to give it character was a great idea. Fading in was also a great idea. Love the use of the what may be timpani in the background as well. Good Job on using dynamics to help fill it out.

Constructive Comments: The fade in was a great idea, but it almost felt too long. Dynamics were also AMAZING, but towards the very end, something seemed off but I couldn’t quite place it. As random as this sounds, think about adding a couple tapered off cymbal hits. VERY low in the mix at certain points. Just something to add flare.

Positive Comments: I like the progression you used, very well articulated lyrics. Not overly bulky with words, using elongated notes while singing was a good choice instead of jamming in more words just to “improve” the quality of the song. Some parts were a tiny bit pitchy, but not so much in a bad way. It fit the style of music very well. Overall, very well done and I like where it’s going.

Constructive Comments: Depending on the idea you’re trying to instill in this song, maybe going for a flatter key signature would be a better fit, for this particular singer. Adding in some layers underneath, just to round out the sound more might not be a bad idea, I could not really hear the low end bass. Maybe have it doing something other than the root.

Positive Comments: Love it! It feel like Pirates of the Caribbean meets Disney’s Little Mermaid, and I mean that in all positivity. This has such a great feel, driving, moving, and the well placed instrumental variety changed the visuals and mood nicely throughout the piece, an great adventure! Makes me want to go back to the Caribbean, meet a myself a nice pirate and drink rum on the beach

Constructive Comments: the only thing I have to add, maybe some vocals would add a nice dimension, not with lyrics, but some some ooos or ahhhhs when the song moves to the minor keys. Just my 2 cents, but really, awesome tune

Constructive Comments: Great song guys. I think the only thing that stood out was I almost felt like I heard the chorus too many times, that’s why the 4 instead of 5 on arrangement. It’s great and catchy, but I also really dug the verses and felt like I was hearing the chorus more. But this was just my impression on my first listen. Well done!
