Song: A Walk In Paris (Jazz Piano)

Reviewer: Greg Johnson

Positive Comments: This is a REALLY nice piece of music!! The musicianship and production are really good, and the composition is also VERY strong! Reminds me a bit of Giraldi (sp?). The music rolls along so nicely with beautiful interaction between the parts.

Constructive Comments: As much as I love the arrangement, it seems the mix, though certainly good, is a bit jumbled, particularly the acoustic guitar I think….sounds a bit boomy. The sax may also be a bit heavy on the verb. Drums and bass sound excellent to me! This is really a nice piece of music!! Congrats on some fine work!! Take care.. Greg

Song: Beautiful Sound

Reviewer: Greg Johnson

Positive Comments: Really pretty, pretty song!! The music is great and grabs you right off. I really like the spiritual nature of the lyric…..goes very well with the music. The arrangement and the performance by the musicians is BEAUTIFUL! This is really a captivating piece!!

Constructive Comments: There is not too much here to be improved. It is THAT GOOD!! I think there are some rhymes that feel a bit generic at times. I would try to write some lines that are a bit more uncommon, more exotic to match the exotic music. The song is great but deserves to be perfect! Fantastic job!! Take care. Greg

Song: My Own Person

Positive Comments: There is a lot of nice stuff here! The melody is quite pretty. The vocal has quite a bit of feel, although I don’t know if it is contemporary. The harmony is sweetly done! Musically, this all makes sense to me.

Constructive Comments: The acoustic guitar sounds probably too loud, and maybe a bit boomy. THere are some good lines in the lyric but the message is somewhat wondering and not concise enough. With the vocal, it could be processed in a little more mellow way. I think you are on to something good here but I feel it could still be improved. Nice work! Take care. Greg

Song: Saxametosis

Positive Comments: This is really well put together!! Excellent melody throughout, and the instruments play off each wonderfully…..catches the ear! The recording sounds pretty much production quality to me. The song is happy, catchy, and very well conceived.

Constructive Comments: Can’t really see much to change here. Maybe the part where the lead instruments stop, the part could be a bit more interesting, but it definitely provides musical relief at the perfect time. I think you have pretty much nailed it on this song! Congrats!! Take care. Greg
