Positive Comments: From a songwriter perspective I thought this was a very good composition which is why you got good marks. While you do an adequate job singing the song, I’d really like to hear a female blues singer hit this. In reality I think most of the flaws here lay with how this song was mixed more then anything else.
Constructive Comments: From a recording standpoint I thought the levels of the various instruments tended to wander a bit. You had very inconsistent volumes to my ears.I am not sure what you did or how you did it, but both the guitar and the vocals sounded a bit thin. Please don’t think I mean you ahve to add 8 tons of reverb. it’s more like both would have benefited from some EQ work to their individual tracks to give them a fuller and bolder sound. Right now they are only resonating in a very limited range. I would really love to se you go back and try to do some tweaking and seeing what you come up with. Like I said I gave you very high marks, maybe even too high in some places, but it is because it was such a good overall composition.
