Positive Comments: Nice short intro which grabs the listener immediately. The playing on the song is excellent and is executed with lots of swagger. I particularly like the guitar solos which have lots of impact. Nice guitar patch too. The instruments are nicely balanced and the sound quality is great. The vocalist really suits the song and delivers the song in a compelling way.

Constructive Comments: In terms of structure my brain was expecting some sort of musical change at 0.58, but a change didn’t come. I’ve marked down the originality of the song as the Rockabilly genre suggests a certain sound and chord progression and that does not imply a lack of quality in terms of the song. Overall though an entertaining song which is well played, sung and recorded.

Positive Comments: This is a very atmospheric piece. Nice use of ambient nature sounds. Great synths and intelligent use of percussion. Excellent depth of sound in the tune. Really well mixed and mastered.

Constructive Comments: I would have introduced the vocal later in the tune, as I feel it would make more impact as a new element adding interest as the piece builds. I marked down the hook as I think the chord structure and vocal melody would have benefited from more variety, perhaps by mixing up the chord sequence as the tune progresses. Overall though it is enjoyable and worth pitching for appropriate listings. Perhaps shorter edits would be useful for media use.

The questions posed within the chorus offer introspective thought. The instrumental sections are timed well. An uplifting instrumental with an 80’s style essence. Well crafted original lyrics and use of imagery.
