Positive Comments: This is classic pop, with an 80’s sound. Perhaps consider a category – it’s not what I would call Europop. I loved the simple structure of the verse and chorus that made it catchy and memorable.

Constructive Comments: You need to get to the verse after 4 bars (maximum) not 16 – so edit 12 bars out from there.

Breathless / Dance Club Mix by Uncle Spider & The Electric Dirt Clods

Song: Breathless / Dance Club Mix

Positive Comments: “You’ve lit a fever, in this unbeliever” – what a great lyric! I loved the melody and the harmony of this song – it has an unusual structure, really making you wait for the hook / payoff but it kind of works.

Constructive Comments: So – the lyrics above are good, but some of the others were trying just TOO hard to rhyme exactly and left me wondering what you were trying to say. Also – the bass riff that you start with become annoying. You have a good harmonic structure, get your bass to follow and play along with that a little. Good work, good luck with this!

Positive Comments: I really got into this. The essential arrangement has a good combination of hooks and the lyric line over the top works, well with the harmonies and the rhythm patterns.

Constructive Comments: There is nowhere near enough variation in your structure – far too much repetition without any textural or structural changes. Dance songs can have these unchanging riffs, but there should be much more thought into adding or removing elements at key points of the song. The hi-hat sound that is heard first is far to high up in the mix and dominates during every moment it is played.

Positive Comments: Very good, nearly mesmerizing song. Definitely shades of Stevie Nicks here. Fantastic vocals and very good arrangement and instrumentation. Really good job.

Constructive Comments: Lyrics aren’t real easy for me to discern here, but neither are Stevie’s. Not that that’s important, but keeps me from giving the lyrics a higher rating. I would push forward with this song. I really think it has potential.

Positive Comments: What a good song. Reminds me a bit of Chris Rea and “Road To Hell”. This song should get snapped up (if it hasn’t already) for something like a road trip movie, without a doubt. Areally catchy number that had my foot tapping from the start. Awesome work!

Constructive Comments: I can’t really fault this in any way so keep up the ace work! All The Best now, and in the future.

Positive Comments: Singing the dead man’s Blues in a grooving 80’s package, lyrics are original and cool. Whoever Roberto is he plays nice guitar lead.

Constructive Comments: Song is cool, recording has some mix issues. Playing is good but still has a bit of a jerky feel, mostly from bass and drums I think, just a little to static a groove, and bass sounds to loud to me. Voice is weird but compelling but the effect gets tiresome by the end, maybe tone that down a bit.

Positive Comments: Well constructed track overall with it building and evolving throughout. Really thought the drum sounds and beats were excellent and well used. the bell sounds and the vocal delivery at the start does give this a dark and on the edge feel. The melody is quite catchy and easy to pick up on. Not something i would normally listen to or try and create but enjoyed it

Constructive Comments: nothing from a production point of view – its all sitting in the mix really well

Positive Comments: I was a bit unsure of this until the bass kicked in at 1.00 and then I could really hear something in this. I love the arrangement and the groove. To me it sound like a dance track that needs a topline and lyric. I’d love to write one! Check out my stuff and see if you’d like to collaborate.

Constructive Comments: I would suggest that it needs to be shorter – cut most of the first minute.
