Positive Comments: This is solid work. Love the melody, the arrangement, the general feel and the way the lead guitar carries the composition perfectly. We need more music like this today. Absolutely love this. Not much more I can say other than keep doing what you do!
Constructive Comments: No constructive comments today. It’s perfect.

Positive Comments: Very nice piece! This could be used for just about any TV or Film score to back a scene dealing in revenge, anger and sadness all in one. Very much reminded me a little bit of some of the emotional score material Austria composer Gerhard Heinz did in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Flawless and great job!
Constructive Comments: Nothing at all to add here, nothing could improve it or make it better. Absolutely no flaws what so ever! Ready as is to become part of a music library or soundtrack album/score.

Positive Comments: Really like this! Sounds like it was composed and produced for a TV or film cue back in the mid – late 80’s. Very mysterious and also has an almost erotic undertone. Could easily vision it in a music library or soundtrack score in the era. If only they still composed music like this for today’s films and TV.
Constructive Comments: Top notch stuff as mentioned above, however, the mix needs a lot of work on the rhythm tracks. The hats and snare have too much high on them and are a bit on the tinty side. And the kick doesn’t bump at all on the low end. Sounds almost in the same frequency as what a high snare would be on. My input would be to work on the rhythm tracks and then mix it again with the corrected tracks more level with the synthesizers. But again, really great composition!

Song: Remembering You

Positive Comments: Beautiful song, but very sad. Can feel the intense emotion in the vocal and chords. It’s not often I can say that an artist delivers the point and feel of a personal written song that makes the audience/listener feel the same emotion (weather it be happiness or pain) as the singer/songwriter. But with this one, I can say it really comes through and is felt! Wonderful job.
Constructive Comments: Just gonna give a personal opinion/preference as a writer/arranger myself, with no disrespect intended to your work at all. One thing I believe in is artist freedom to deliver a work of art and expression in the way they see fit. Though, if it was me producing and arranging, I would add a bit more production to the song that would include a drum arrangement, bass, rhythm guitar and a string arrangement that would really compliment the emotion and vocal, making it even more intense than it already is. However, if as the artist you feel that just the voice and piano are the way to express the emotion, then this is just perfect as is. Wonderful job regardless!

Positive Comments: This is great! Very 1985 Pop feel and the lyrics are beautiful, direct and to the point. Really takes me back to the days of being a kid and looking forward to the family Christmas celebration. Love the vocals as well. Has that 1985 female Pop/Rock sound to it that I really miss. Over all, a wonderful short 1985 era song about Christmas. So authentic sounding, I almost wanna go look for the 12″ single with the long remixed version on it 🙂
Constructive Comments: Everything was 99.9% perfect. Only thing I could even say was in the mastering of the final mix, the bottom is a bit too deep. A few slight EQ adjustments to soften the boomy lows to what’s already mixed and it’s 100% perfect.

Song: The Emperor’s Clothes
Reviewer: Jimmy Michaels & Dick Hieronymus
Positive Comments: Great tune! An original cross between late era Beatles and the more pop side of early Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd. Solo almost had an AC/DC feel to it, and the vocals had that late 60s/early 70’s stack type arrangement. Very well written and loved the lyrics. Catchy as ever. Fans of 60’s and 70’s Rock would really appreciate this as I do.
Constructive Comments: Vocals in a few places towards the middle on the chorus need some work and the vocal tracks are a tad bit too loud in the mix. Also, at the very end with the FX, they are a bit distorting. Some gate, mid EQ adjustments and additional compression on the FX track would fix that. Other than that, again, great job! Would love to hear more of your work.

Positive Comments: Here’s a fun-to-listen-to jazz rendition of Amazing Grace, something I have never heard before. In fact, I’m not sure I’ve ever heard any religious jazz at all. But this is great to listen to. You’ve got one phenomenal sax player there. Cool, totally cool!
Constructive Comments: You had a pretty long intro. It was several seconds into the song before I realized you were playing Amazing Grace. I picked up the lead melody from the piano/keyboard player, but it left me wanting more out of that lead, or a switch from the lead piano to a lead on the sax. The sax player totally “out-shined” the keyboard player, in my opinion. The ending needed improvement. Make it soar. It just kind of fizzled out.

Positive Comments: This is one of the most uniquely original songs I’ve heard on Broadjam in a long time. It’s absolutely….mesmerizing. The lyrics are phenomenal…love the images: thrift store and vintage clothing…Sinatra and the Doors. Launch ships/Hips. Carburetor…clean your clock/rock. There’s just some amazing writing going on here. Your word pictures are PHENOMENAL. Can’t say enough about the freshness of your lyrics. Lead Vocal is spooky and fun. Horn player totally rocks. Female background vocals are ethereal. I hope this song meets with great success. It’s a winner all the way around.
Constructive Comments: I’m not sure if there’s anything I can suggest. Just keep on writing, singing, performing and rocking the boat. Mrs. Kate

Positive Comments: Here’s a poignant break-up song from the male counterpart’s point of view, “It’s lonely out here.” That is well-communicated in this sad song. Forlorn and forsaken, he wonders what went wrong. Sincere vocal with nice piano instrumentation. Mirror/here – nice rhyme.
Constructive Comments: The vocal is nice, but rather…understated. It almost seems like it would benefit from raising the key, too. Sounds like you’re at the bottom of your range. I could understand all the lyrics, but had to really concentrate to do it. You have a beautiful voice I just wanted to hear more of it. One place where you could have upped the ante was at the end of the bridge on “feeling out here”, add a bit of dramatic “something” to that vocalization. The synth ending didn’t do justice to the song…why not end it with that beautiful piano playing? The lyrics seem a bit repetitious to me. This song needs more specifics, more word pictures and story/substance than just looking in the mirror. What did he find there when he looked?
