Constructive Comments: The drum sounds are very distracting, and bass sounds pretty flat. It’s understandable if you’re on a budget of course, but that’s the next thing you want to upgrade. That’s why I scored the recording so low.

Positive Comments: Buffy St Marie meets Eminem. This has a rough and angry vibe with some really edgy, cool touches. A real dark feminist edge here and spiritual/religious power and imagery. This is badass and I really enjoyed it in its rude power and original artistry!!

Constructive Comments: Some of the parts, especially the kick, are clipping way too much –this really detracts. Otherwise love it!

Positive Comments: Classic sound and progression that could be Everly Brothers or Bruce Springsteen (or a host of others). Great progressions (use of diminished passing chords). Great organ part and drums. The vocal performance is really strong.

Constructive Comments: The acoustic guitar is a tad pickup brittle. Lyrically the hook is strong but it’s not presented memorably strong in the melody/arrangement.

Positive Comments: It’s Harry channeling the ghost of John Lennon. Really cool tune with great sounds, quirky style (what, Harry?), and a very good structure. It’s the Frank Zappa version of Sgt Pepper’s and it’s really cool. This belongs in a soundtrack.

Constructive Comments: The sax isn’t a sax. The mix may be a bit heavy in the low mid range. You gotta learn the ih sound of ‘it’ ‘little’ etc or it’s always going to hit native English speaker ears with the “eeet” “leeetle” etc. You know this…

Positive Comments: Oh man I LOVE the voice here. This is a wonderful vocal and the tune is just as strong. It’s bordering on Jazz/Showtune with a sophisticated arrangement and grown-up, poetic lyrics. The ambient touches are great. This would keep company with Diana Krall, Julia Fordham, Jane Siberry, and Kate Bush easily. I really enjoyed this!

Constructive Comments: Are you doing autotune??? It sounds like you are in places. Don’t Your voice is wonderful and you don’t want the reediness that that gives.

Positive Comments: This reminds me of someone and I can’t recall who–Blind Melon, Crash Test Dummies, Jane’s Addiction? It’s got a happy Jam Band vibe and good vocals. Not sure whether it’s straight or ironic but I think it’s a straight up paean to the skater lifestyle. This easily could have been in a soundtrack for Napolean Dynamite or Juno, etc.

Constructive Comments: “everyday” is pretty boring as the entire hook –I think you need more than that. What about kicking in with a full band at some point? Maybe you don’t need a full bridge but there should be something to change it up a bit –it’s the same thing all the way through.

Positive Comments: I liked the song, you sang it very well. you have a nice country voice that would work on several types of songs.The lyrics were good and the song flowed very well.

Constructive Comments: There are a couple of spots between verses and or choruses where the sound seems to drop out or fade a bit. Example around 38 to 40 seconds it sounds like the song is going to fade out. It just threw me off a bit.
