Positive Comments: Great song! Sounds like it was recorded back in mid 80’s. Has that cross between collage rock/MTV hit at the time mixed with a little bit of 80’s Jeff Lynn in terms of music production and arrangement. Vocals remind me of a few different people in one but can’t put my finger on it, but they’re great.

Constructive Comments: My only (but major) constructive comment doesn’t lay in the recording or the mix, but the mastering. This needs a full mastering job on the final mixdown. Sounds like it was a completed perfect mixdown right off the multi-track master, but the mastering process never happened after words as it normally does. Needs lows reduced and leveled out, mids need to be adjusted, highs need to be adjusted, etc (the usual long process).As it is now being raw mixdown, its way too bassy and boomy. Had to turn off my subwoofer and just play it through the monitors to hear it properly. Glad I did, cause it’s a great tune!

Positive Comments: Moody and introspective piece with a hypnotic vibe.

Constructive Comments: Constructive criticism would be that lyrically it is sort of repetitive and doesn’t really evolve beyond the basic idea pf take me to an island. The instrumentation sounds good bu overall could be a little more focused and maybe build up to more of a peak. And maybe as a personal matter I just never like musical arrangements that begin with an effect, ever, if the music itself doesn’t make it happen, it probably won’t happen.

Constructive Comments: My only constructive comment here I think is not something in the actual arrangement, but possibly some kind of digital flaw. Right after the main hook as it goes into the mini bridge each time, it sounds like it skips a half beat, almost like the record or CD skipped. Other than that very small flaw, this is flawless.

Positive Comments: Very catchy number. Sounds like a nice tune that could be part of a musical or a positive vibe vocal library cue for use in TV and film. Love the vocals too, you sound sort of like Roberta Flack in her early days. Very nice.

Constructive Comments: A lot of work needs to be done on this. However, i’m sure you know this 🙂 Right now, just being drums and piano, it’s empty. Sounds like a rough demo idea. Needs the full instrumentation. Guitar (rhythm or lead to counter the vocal), bass and maybe some brass. A few vocals towards the end need some work on the scatting as well I think. This really has great potential! Hope you decide to work on it more.

Has that late 70’s classy lounge vibe to it and takes me right to being on vacation in an upscale hotel, having a drink in the late night and seeing a pretty lady at the bar that i’d love to talk to. Keep up the great work! Would love to hear more.
