Positive Comments: Catchy tune. Very nice arrangement. Performance is solid too. Really like the hand claps. 1:20 and then at 2:31 bridge has a nice change up. I think the vocal delivers a good performance.

Constructive Comments: I listened on headphones. I think mix needs a little more mid range and low end. There seems to be a lot of treble. This might tend to be fatiguing to the listener. It also doesn’t seem to have a wide stereo spread. All easy fixes if you have access to the tracks.

Song: Once Upon A Cricket NEW MIX

Reviewer: Ayrian Gridiron

Positive Comments: I liked the instrumentation

Constructive Comments: The lead singer was pitchy throughout, at times the lead did not sing on the beat at the beginning of the song … I don’t know if that was intentional. I like the melody of ohhhh little cricket. IThe lyrics are not clear. In the beginning it mentioned that the cricket wanted to play, but then it implies not having the heart to give it a whack,….. then to being afraid of the cricket,… I am just confused.

Constructive Comments: I enjoyed the arrangement, the instrumentation, and the song in general. I believe children would love to sing along. The lead singer also sounds like she enjoys what she does, which makes the song come to life.

Positive Comments: Love the way the vocals start right in. Great bridge. Overall sound of the tune is very pleasant sounding (only a couple of crits). Love the solo. Great guitar tone. Modulations work really well in this tune. Uplifting. Reverse guitar was a nice touch too.I listened on headphones.

Constructive Comments: “Step right up,” part sounds more like a pre-chorus than a chorus. Still cool though. I’m not real sure about the end at 3:17. If I was the producer I might steer you in another direction. The mix sounds good. There is some harsh sibilance here and there. I hear some crackling at the end like you would hear on the inside track of a vinyl record.
