Positive Comments: Great voice! Really enjoy listening to itJazzy approach through the pianoCreative drum pattern that makes the song the more interesting Very nice bridge, gives a good turn to the song which then picks up greatly afterThe hook/chorus works wellJoe Jackson influence? I wouldn’t be surprised (and that is a compliment!)

Constructive Comments: The sound of the drums is not the best I’ve heard. I think with the drum sound being better this song would be really excellent Remix/do the drums and get this song out. I think it really has big potential!

Constructive Comments: Clearer vocals if possible to understand the words from the listeners point of view

Positive Comments: Well played guitar and you’ve understood the need of a hook in an instrumental songNice chord progression I hear subtle use of percussion which I enjoy The background (guitar, organ, bass n drums) behind the lead guitar is well laid outI like the “secondary lead guitar”

Constructive Comments: The lead guitar could do with a little less reverb and or delay in my opinion. The ending is a bit sudden, could have gone on a bit further (or construct a specific ending of the song)In the mix (even though arranged well) it becomes at times a bit busy with the different instruments competing for the same spot in the mix.

Reviewer: Peter Toussaint

Positive Comments: The song has got a nice introThe sound of the recording is very good, rich and the instruments are well playedThe song has got a nice visual quality to it, I can easily see it behind a proper video or used in TV (but also look at the improvement points regarding the individual quality of the instrument sounds)Arrangement is very nice

Constructive Comments: I kind of miss a hook in this song, I hear that the string part would have to serve at this, but could be strongerThe sound of both the bass and the guitar are a bit too artificial for me, getting better sounds would really improve the songThe alternate use of different solo instruments gives a bit of inconsistency, where do you want to go?

Positive Comments: Drums, bass and vocals sound good as does the overdrive guitar doing the long chordsThe whole “threatening” atmosphere of the song is I think well in line with the message the song wants to convey.

Constructive Comments: Most of all I think this song needs a bridge, a part that is different. There is enough time in the song to do so, probably before the solo. The rhythm guitar is very dry, I think a bit of reverb/delay would improve the soundThis also goes for the guitar soloTiming issues around 2:39

Positive Comments: Great recording, sounds beautiful. Piano, synth bass drums and choral all sounds goodThis can easily go underneath some visuals, TV, ad or movieGives me a happy feelingWould love to be able to say I have some kind of reference but I do not.

Constructive Comments: The only thing I really miss in this tune is a recognizable hook, an important melody that comes backAnd it gives me a happy feeling but could do somewhere with some “bite”, maybe that’s also because of the choir-sounds that make it sound very “happy clappy “

Reviewer: James Neilson Graham

Positive Comments: The great title (and its use in the song) has metaphorical/existential overtones – who has not sometimes wanted just to get away? Nice free improvisational band style (honky-tonky pianist having a ball) but the piece holds together. Effective use of silence here and there – helps to shape the song. All in all a fun piece.

Constructive Comments: More power to your elbow (as we say in England) . . .

Song: Last Free Man In America

Reviewer: Peter Toussaint

Positive Comments: It’s probably no surprise that this reminds me of Bruce Springsteen. The general sound is very pleasant to the ear as well as the logical chord progressions with a proper beginning, verses, chorus and ending. Arangments are good, instruments sound good

Constructive Comments: The guitar sound in the solo sounds a bit thin and therefore doesn’t stand out too muchI think the lead vocals are not at all points completely on pitchThe use of “the last free man in America” is a bit repetitive but not to the point of being too much (it might result in the song getting “too much” when hearing it often.

Song: Losing My Hair

Reviewer: Peter Toussaint

Positive Comments: Ok, this was something different! Weird enough it reminds me of some of the songs of the Beatles with the use of the harmonies, the subject and the chord progressions The downgoing chords in the solo give a great effect. Think the whole arrangement of the song is well thought out.

Constructive Comments: The lead guitar timing in the intro part (and when it comes back later) is not exactly on par. Not sure if it was done on purpose but it doesn’t work for meThe vocal harmonies are not the most pleasant to listen to even though they are not necessarily wrong. I would not have opted for a fade out of the song, it does have a natural ending.
