Positive Comments: I love the transition drop crunch / scratch sound out of the first chorus. The chorus progression and vocal melody over the chorus is interesting. I also really enjoy the dynamics between all the parts. The vocal is interesting and has a unique character, while also delivering the melody with solid pitch. There are so many great elements about this.

Constructive Comments: Some of the harmonies sound digital or artificial to me, a more natural sounding vocal might improve the feel of this a bit. I am personally not a big fan of chorus effects on vocals.

Positive Comments: I like the aesthetic and concept of the music in this track. I also like guitar tones in this track a lot. The arrangement is interesting and unique. I also really like the synth effect and stereo separation.

Constructive Comments: There are a few things about the mix of this that stand out to me as a little bit awkward. The piano comes in a bit loud in my opinion. I might like a little bit more reverb on the vocals, and some background harmonies or doubling might be a nice addition.

Positive Comments: This song reminds me of Dire Straits “Sultans of Swing”, but I like the campy subject and lyrics. Campy but kind of cute and sentimental. The instrumentation is great and the production quality is top notch.

Constructive Comments: Im not sure there is much I would change about this track. I could imagine this in a quirky southern comedy film or television show.

Positive Comments: This is a very peaceful guitar piece that is perfect for playing in the background at home while reading or hanging out in the kitchen. I like music like this it’s a nice break from business.

Constructive Comments: While I was listening, I thought I heard strings in the background – was wondering if the music piece would be more dynamic to bring up the strings. Listening to this piece on THX-certified speakers, I heard distortion in the strings and could be fuller – just a musical opinion. I found the upper-frequencies of the guitar to be slightly jarring, so perhaps a very slight cut in EQ in the upper? I would not think this “meditative”, more relaxing. I think to make it more meditative, perhaps experiment with the guitar and reverb and stereo enhancement to perhaps fill an open space like a cathedral. Just some ideas 🙂

Positive Comments: I am a light-hearted person and in that fun spirit – I will have to say while listening to this I was reminded of the fun backdrop music that plays in the background while playing some side quest in the famous video game Final Fantasy. I played this twice, I love the guitar.

Constructive Comments: I heard artifacts in the recording, clicking – it was enough to be distracting. I think the flute could use some enhancement in the EQ/Mixing to me, sounds a tad weak – just a thought. I think the string section could be slightly fuller (chorus). The pizzicato strings need to come through better. And just remember, these are just opinions of a hobbit – so don’t mind us hairy-feet folk out here.

Positive Comments: I like this, it is bright and festive. I can imagine in my mind – while listening – people coming together at a festive occasion and this music is playing and everybody is happy and dancing. I like the passionate playing of the guitar.

Constructive Comments: There was not an introduction to this, which I think is important to set the tone. The EQ on the guitar could use some work. The guitar sounds like it is coming from just the center of the speakers and a clicking sound going on in the recording. With some nice EQ and some reverb and stereo image this music piece would be really beautiful. There are a lot of artifacts in the sound recording. This recording could use some serious equalization as well probably mic placement.

Positive Comments: I love this. A cool funk and bass with the flair of the flute taking me on a journey to places far away. I like the mixing, the bass fit right in and wasn’t taking away from the musical chemistry. I think with a few touches on this piece, this would make a nice track on a music CD.

Constructive Comments: The notes being played the flute became repetitive to my ear. I think an adjustment in the flute riff i-iii-ii-i or EGFA to really bring out the Egyptian flair would be nice. The piece ended abruptly and could have used a better release on the flute instrument to gradually fade out. I think a close-out chorus should have been added to this piece.

Positive Comments: This musical piece has a lot of potential. I like the funky rhythm of the piano giving this classical piano piece a contemporary feel. As the music was playing I envisioned a handsome man dressed to the nines – asking a lady in a long white dress to join him on the ballroom dance floor for a slow dance.

Constructive Comments: I don’t know if it is the mic placement for the piano or the EQ in the mixing – or both – the piano could be made much clearer and slightly closer, maybe a little less reverb and cut in the EQ for muddiness. Musically, I think some pauses are needed in this piece as the piano chords have the potential of evoking strong emotions but only with some pauses (whole notes) to let the harmonics come through to the listener before moving on with more musical notes.
