Positive Comments: “Hard hangovers on every single day moments of her that never go away”…..I like that line…kinda sums up the whole song…Really a nice clear recording , vocal smooth and even though wordy he seems to navigate and not get out of time…don’t think I could do justice to this…and I’ve been around lol…

Constructive Comments: It’s really good for what it is, but you know how it goes…”needs a bridge”…I get that critique all the time when I try to sell a story song…kinda cruel…but it’s what I hear time and time again….No real hook except lyrically…but…it’s a dark dark tale that concede on it’s own …doesn’t really need much more.

Positive Comments: Great idea…I’ve had that feeling …even in Portland…during the summer I see tank tops and people walking and eating and I’ve got a tie on…really a marketable piece…maybe John Prine or Buffett would take a look at this song…of course Prine writes his own stuff, but Buffett has run out of original ideas.

Constructive Comments: Recording is a little thin…maybe it needs a bit more bass…could just be my earbuds…but I don’t think so…you might wanna take a listen to Spud Davenport….he’s here on Broadjam…you have a similar sound. His production is pretty good and he has that wry sense of humor I suspect you have. The melody could’ve taken a little more unpredictability…but the lyrics kinda hid that aspect. good luck

Constructive Comments: the guitar lick at the beginning sounded very familiar to me (check Gotthards song “gone too far”). This is just a cultural tip. Voice is really good although similar to Eddie Vedder, which ios not bad.

Constructive Comments: If it were me I would change the vocal inflection on the ends of your first lines..like the first line..you go up on “places” to me its distracting

Positive Comments: LOVE that I have a real, clear, honest vocal. Thank you. Sick and tired of vocals with so much chorus and reverb – drives me nuts. Great vocal too by the way – sounds very authentic and not forced. Love the overall arrangement and alt country feel. Would totally come check you guys out. Simple and fun sounding and right up my alley.

Constructive Comments: The mix could use some help. The electric guitars could have much more prevalence in the sound. And that would really help lift the excitement level of the song. The overall “level” of the recording seems a bit low. This would be a song, live, where I can see it being a party. The recording should use that as the driving inspiration. It just feels a bit more flat than the quality of the song, and your group, should sound.
