Positive Comments: This is a nice song! The melody is memorable and had me humming it while writing the review. The balance of the mix was also good which isn’t always easy to do.

Constructive Comments: Electronic sounds can tend to sound one dimensional if you aren’t careful. Think of all the colors of a saxaphone or guitar solo and then compare that to your lead line. Maybe using a more complex lead sound and adding some vibrato would help the song bloom. Another rhythm part might also add more movement. Still good stuff!

Constructive Comments: Well the vocalist is very , very, good, nothing short of first rate professional. The song to my ear is questionable, not bad, just , well, leaves me a little cold. Doesn’t really tell me anything other than she’s flying solo. Why do I care? This kind of song needs a twist. I’m wondering what the back story is. About half way through I thought … is she singing to a dead guy? That would at least give it some context. Only song I can recall like this that worked for me was ” Why Don’t You Stay ” by Sugerland, and the fact is that Jennifer Nettles sold that very average song lock stock and barrel with the passion in her voice. And there is some emotional difference between ” flying solo ” and stone cold getting down on your knees and begging someone to love you. It’s also about a minute to long.

Constructive Comments: I really like this song. The only thing I would suggest is to make the vocals sit a tinge lower in the mix and drums just a tinge louder. I think this would balance it a little more. This is a great song, keep up the good work!!!
