Positive Comments: The tune and rhythm seem familiar, a bit like Pentangle. Touches of Paul Simon in the vocal. Seems pretty commercial to me though the backing is a tad monotonous. John Martyn also now comes to mind. Likeable.

Constructive Comments: I can only suggest that you add a rhythm section to push the song into folk-rock territory.

Positive Comments: As a bassplayer I appreciated the bassline and tone. Loved the chord sequence. The voice is very much like that of Green from Scritti Politti, who I love so this was right up my street. Lovely harmonies too. Kind of a mix between the early Doobie Bros stuff / Scritti Politti.

Constructive Comments: Low score from me is for arrangement but only because for me that rhythm track is wrong. I could hear a completely different rhythm track in my head, or at least one that picks up to emphasise the different sections within the song. That said I adored the way the song sat back at the end before fade out. If you like less is more, (big on my list!) check out a track by Ephraim Lewis called It Can’t Be Forever, you might like it.

Song: Didn’t You Say

Positive Comments: Not sure how old you are but this reminds me of the type of stuff I was playing when jamming with a school pal years ago.

Constructive Comments: The mix needs to be much more balanced. At the moment it’s all guitar and almost nothing else. Sorry for the low score. Just keeping it real. The guitar playing needs to be a whole lot tighter. Would be nice to hear the drum track much higher in the mix maybe with a bassline in there too. Good Luck.

Positive Comments: Interesting voice – reminds me a lot of the singer in the 70’s/80’s band called Sparks. Also reminds me of Gotye (check out his track called Save Me).

Constructive Comments: Intro for me is twice as long as need be. At 1 min 28 seconds I wanted to be surprised by the song being double time – twice as fast as it continues to be, does that make sense? I was disappointed that it carried on at the same speed. Could be really really commercial and different! For that reason low score from me is the arrangement. Hook could also be more defined and catchy. Good Luck. One of the more original songs on here.

Constructive Comments: I think the unders were a little high, which made the vocals too high in some areas.

Song: Show Me

Reviewer: Aryz Kahlid

Positive Comments: Very good track, reminds me of Maxwell. Not a lot of artists out here doing this type of thing anymore. If more artists did this type of R&B stuff, music would be good again.

Constructive Comments: The song is good, I think the vocals should be turned up just a little bit, was kind of hard to hear the lyrics.
