Positive Comments: Here comes the happy jerk with the charmed life. He’s the one who always says, “Everything just fell in place!” or “I didn’t have to do anything. It just went my way!” Well, here’s the wacky tune for you! The vocals are wide eyed, gee-whizzed, stupidly conceited, and performed to perfection. The melody happily bounces like a dog chasing a sprinkler. Lyrically nuts…how can anyone be so obnoxiously charmed? It’ll tick you off. It’ll make you laugh. Yep, you knew this person in college, he didn’t have to hold down a steady job, and you wish he’d fall flat on his face just once!!!

Positive Comments: Simple song, simple words, simple hook, just simply easy to pick up and sing along with and that’s he strength of this song. It is such a singalong! It has two distinct types of stanzas: the droning “I-I-I don’t care what people think…” of the chorus to the quick buckshot of words of what he’s going to do in the stanzas. That’s a pretty darned catchy way to write a song. Besides, who doesn’t want to do things their own way?

Constructive Comments: Very well done, folks. I don’t think there’s anything you need to edit.

Positive Comments: This is a very good story and concept…a true love in the imagination that’s just out of reach…a maiden in the mist. The melody drifts and shimmers like ocean waves which gives it more that ethereal, dreamy feel, and it compliments the story very well. Nice use of the midi with smooth production.

Constructive Comments: The most important aspects of any song are the base words and music, which you have successfully done very well, so high scores overall! What I’d have to suggest are just preferences. I would search for smoother vocals that can match the ethereal feel of the song, and can follow the melody more effortlessly. (This is why I very seldom use my own vocals…they’re terrible!) Perhaps experiment with a soft background ensemble that cascades with a higher pitch but use it conservatively…something to add variety, maybe to replace or put in the background small segments of the keyboards. One more…what I’d call a “singles” version…one that would have a shorter beginning and end. The beginning on such a version could easily begin at :29 seconds. Overall, very well done because the music and lyrics are by far most important. That’s probably 90 percent of it. The rest is frosting on the cake.
