Constructive Comments: The hook let me a little flat. Felt like it needed to keep building…The bells seemed just a bit out of place to my ear. I was really hoping for the end of the song to soar…when the lights go (jump an octave) ON!

Constructive Comments: The piano (to my ear) sounds just a bit off. Probably just the sound you are going for, but it sounds like an old upright in need of a tune (to my ear) and distracted me a bit from the song’s message.

Positive Comments: There is so much I LOVE about this song – great writing, perfect vocal to fit the song, and nearly impeccable instrumentation. At times I could almost hear Steely Dan influences and was highly-impressed with just about everything.

Constructive Comments: I’d like to hear this with about 3db more on the vocals, but more importantly the one thing that killed me was the tone on the keyboard, which went from sounding like a Hohner Melodica to a $19.99 Walmart Casio knock-off. Honestly, if it can’t be re-recorded I’d remix it without the keyboard altogether (except maybe buried in the deep background). The song is GREAT but for me it just stuck out like a very sore thumb.
