Positive Comments: I like the acoustic vibe of the song. Lovely guitars. The melody is strong. It’s catchy. The vocal performance is great and effective use of backing vocals. The lyrics are engaging, entertaining and very nicely constructed superb story telling. Great recording quality. The song is reminiscent of The Band or The Eagles.
Constructive Comments: I’ve marked down the quality of the instrumentation and arrangement because I think there should have been an instrumental change at 0.23 and/or 0.34, (a piano or organ might work well there). I also think the slide guitar should have been held back until later in the song to build the tune towards its conclusion and perhaps the drum arrangement could have become busier, or another percussive element added towards the end of the track, again to add an extra element for the listener. In conclusion I like the song a lot and it has a rousing quality, however I think the arrangement could be more dynamic.
