Positive Comments: This song has a very good melody that is wistful and lonely and with simple, introspective, vulnerable, and picturesque lyrics…this is the kind of song that reminds me of what Neil Young might write. Don’t let the rough recording fool you. Some polish will please the production people. But first, you must start with good songwriting and the writer behind this song has done just that.

Constructive Comments: I’m glad you decided to put this song up as I like melancholy melodies with thoughtful lyrics. I did the same when I started putting my songs up a couple of years ago. I don’t know if this is a demo and you have other songs that are polished, or if you have several of these. There is a lot of background noise, I just get the song through the left side, none on the right. Sounds like a recording without using a Desktop Audio Workstation software (the free Cakewalk is very good!) along with the things like equalization, reverb, other studio tricks. But those things come later. I see no reason to mark those down much as the songcraft is the biggest part, and you did very well! I’m curious to see who I just reviewed. Best to you!
